Great Falls, MT (November 9, 2007) - J.C. Harper Luthier has a new axe that Blue Oyster Cult fans are drooling over. Harper's VegasVulcan is based on a custom Vulcan design that made waves 30 years ago and was played by B.O.C.'s Buck Dharma.
- Body : Mahogany
- Neck : Mahogany with rosewood fingerboard, 6 mm MOP dot inlay, MOP Kronos inlay at 12th fret, 1 11/16" graphite nut, 24 3/4" scale, 22 .050x.100 frets, 12" radius, special VegasVulcan inlayed 22nd fret. Bolt-on design utilizing the same configuration as on the Buck Dharma signature guitar. 2 degree heel angle with 12 degree angle on the headstock. Abalone Kronos inlay on truss cover.
- Pickups : DiMarzio PAF at the neck and PAF Pro at the bridge. White bobbins.
- Tuners : Grover Rotomatics
- Bridge : SG style Tune-o-matic with stop tailpiece.
- Hardware : All chrome w/ black speedknob knobs.
- Controls : 3-way toggle with white tip, master volume and tone for each pickup.
- Body and Neck Finish : Brown translucent high gloss catalyzed poly. Black headstock with gloss finish on back of neck and wipe-on satin polyurethane on fingerboard. Brown translucent only for body but custom options are available.
