This is a Classic Marshall Amp with all the tone at lower power. Though the 50 watt 1987 MKII shares the same front and rear panel features as its big brother, the 1959 SLP, it does have its own distinct personality. Sweet, warm singing sounds are the trade mark of this great tone machine. As is the case with the 1959 SLP, the 1987 MKII has fittings and hardware as true to the original as humanly possible, to ensure an authentic Marshall "vintage" look, plus the addition of a switchable Series Effects Loop with a true bypass. The ValveTrain 427 is an amp with rich vintage tone and an expanded set of controls that allow today's guitarist to access a tonal palette unattainable by its vintage predecessors. The 427 inherits its tonal roots from the venerable late-1950s Fender 5E3 Deluxe. Aside from the beefed-up power section loaded with a pair of 5881s and the heavy-duty transformer set, the most interesting feature of the 427 is the design of the initial gain stages. There are 2 volume controls, one for the Normal channel and one for the Bright channel. The two channels are internally isolated and jumpered, meaning that the player is able to blend the tonality of each channel into the overall mix. Because the channels are both active, the preamp tube is running in parallel operation, producing more gain than is normally found in an amp of this style.Turning either volume control down—thus eliminating that channel—returns the tone of the amp back to the single voice operation of the original. There are also two boost switches that activate a gain and low-frequency boost on each channel.By controlling volume and the boost on each channel, the blending of the two distinct voices opens up the tonal spectrum of the ValveTrain 427. more information »

The StangRay is the result of Dr Z's second collaboration with superstar country guitarist Brad Paisley. After the success of their first partnership, Z and Paisley wanted to develop an amplifier that offered an additional pallet of tones to work alongside the Prescription Extra Strength. Using the classic 4x EL-84 setup the new Stang Ray tips its hat to classic British tones, but like all Dr.Z amps, has its own unique voice. The preamp uses an EF-86 with a 12AX7 phase inverter. Tone shaping is accomplished via the Volume, Tone, and Cut controls. It's easy to dial up a warm tone with sweet 3k range brilliance for beautiful upper trebles and nice low-midrange control. The output transformer was designed by Ken Fischer (Trainwreck), who also worked with Dr.Z on the Airbrake. This amp nails that pre Top-Boost, early AC-30 sound. Piano-like tone, like the opening cord to Hard Day's Night. Notes are thick but articulate and the sound is full and defined with a rich resonance and deep sustain. It is brilliant with shimmering top end, Strong mids and a rich warm low end that stays defined and blends for a 3 dimensional balance. Power Output: 30 Watts (ALSO AVAILABLE separately or together as a specially priced set- Matching 2x12 cab) more information »

The THD 4-12 Cab is a bass-reflex design cabinet with a slot-port in the rear instead of the more common tube port in the front. Unlike a tube-port, there is no chance of "whistling" through the slot-port in THD's cabinets. The slot-port being shallow, but wide, gives a lot of rear projection and a more open, 3-dimensional sound similar to an open back but with a dramatically fuller, tighter bottom end. THD's cabinets are made of 3/4" 9-ply birch with 1/2" birch ply baffle and rear panels. The corners are finger jointed for strength and rigidity and the speaker baffle is dadoed into the sides for a remarkably strong and durable cabinet. To eliminate noise found in other handles, THD uses steel inset handles that are remarkably strong and do not rattle. Switchcraft jacks provide a better connection to your speaker plug and steel jack dishes won't break or push through. Inside, the speakers are wired with Belden wire, an industry standard. Also featured on the cabinet's exterior are nickel-plated steel corners to deflect blows and large cast rubber feet that reduce vibrations. more information »

The Avenger 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head gives you pure distilled Soldano overdrive tone. Period. If you want the overdrive of the legendary SLO 100, and that's all you want, this is the amp for you: a 100 watt head with the SOL 100 overdrive circuit, and no channel switching or effects loop to complicate things. Stripped to the bone, this simplified signal path also improves dynamic response for a punchier sound.High and low gain input jacks provide the option of using the full SLO lead circuit or skipping the first gain stage for a darker crunch. In addition to the preamp gain, bass, middle, treble, master volume and presence controls, a depth control is included for boosting low end, and a rotary impedance selector switch allows the use of 4, 8 or 16 ohm speaker cabinets. The amp uses 5881/6L6 power tubes, like the SLO.At Soldano Custom Amplification, they obtain the best parts available and then spend the time to carefully assemble these parts by hand to create the highest quality and most reliable guitar amplifiers possible. Their attention to detail borders on the obsessive. They don't have an assembly line, nor do they subcontract subassemblies out to 'developing nations'. Every amp is crafted at their shop in Seattle, and each is wired, start to finish, by one technician. more information »

This full stack includes the Egnater Rebel 20 amp head and 2 Rebel 112X Speaker Cabinets—an ultra-compact stack with massive tone.Rebel 20 Amp Head The Rebel 20 from Egnater is a truly professional amplifier head with features and sound that are anything but small. Inside you'll find three GrooveTubes 12AX7 preamp tubes, a pair of GrooveTubes EL84 power tubes, and a pair of GrooveTubes 6V6 power tubes. Not only do you get the signature Egnater TIGHT and BRIGHT voicing switches, you also have wide range gain control that lets you go from bluesy clean up to roaring high-gain lead all using a single gain knob. The Watts control lets you turn the Egnater Rebel 20's power from 20 watts to 1 watt for bandstand to bedroom volume. This guitar amp head also includes a professional quality effects loop that doesn't "suck tone". But the coolest feature of the Egnater Rebel 20 is the TUBE MIX control—an Egnater first. Set the Rebel 20's knob full clockwise to experience the more aggressive, British sound of the EL84 tubes. For the first time, you can blend the two types of tubes in any proportion you wish to create a truly signature sound.Rebel 112X Extension Cabinet The two Rebel 112X speaker cabinets included in this half stack combine musical prowess and functionality. The closed-back cab is loaded with a custom-voiced Egnater Celestion Elite 80 speaker. The front-ported design provides maximum bass response and sweet singing highs. With a height of just over 15" and width of less than 19", it's compact enough to fit on any size stage and is the perfect complement to the Rebel 20 amp head. more information »
