Tone Tubby Ceramic 12 8 or 16-ohm 50-watts speaker, with the standard H1E Hempcone! Called "The most significant development in speaker design for decades", by David Wilson at ToneQuest Magazine. The Tone Tubby Ceramic 12 offers an amazing range of tone, in the guitar frequency range. More overall lows, mids and highs, with NO "cone cry" or "ice pick highs". Classic ceramic magnet speaker clarity and definition, with later breakup, more clean headroom, and slightly more bright frequencies than its AlNiCo 12 counterpart. This amazing speaker provides a smooth and warm tone, with fat, silky and thick overdrive without any harsh high end. Compared to a couple of other 12" speakers, in the shop, it has a tighter bottom end and sweeter, smoother top end. Ideal for both closed back or open back cabinets. This is the first "new" line of speakers, that we have tested in many years, that has just plain "knocked us out"!
