SKU: GS3091014 Simple yet Loud!
Reintroduced in the early 1990's, this Marshall Super Lead is a reissue of the classic Marshall super lead which was a request by Pete Townsend to have Marshall produce a 100 watt head.
This particular Marshall Super Lead was owned by Roger Filgate, who was a guitarist for Wishbone Ash and used this amp exclusively on the illuminations album and the tour that followed. Being a good friend of Rick Tedesco, Roger brought this into GuitarHangar on consignment and must part with it.
No frills on this Marshall Super Lead, straight up an old school 100 watt Marshall head, two volumes per channel, bass, mid-range and presence knobs, power and standby switch.
A brief breakdown of the inputs by Rick shows you that channel one is more of an edgy presence, very bright and aggressive, while channel two is more bassier and fuller not quite as intense. Bridging the two channels together though, gives you the best of both worlds, full of attack and punch.
The back of the Marshall Super Lead is very straight forward and old school, power converter switch, impedance converter switch, power plug and two outputs.
Roger Filgate had shared with Rick one of his best experiences with this Marshall Super Lead was when he was at a big outdoor festival n Budapest where he was able to crank this amp all the way up to level 10.
Super Clean, Super Loud, Marshall Super Lead.
