The T-Rex Squeezer is a tube-driven compressor specially designed for bass players. It smoothens out your bass lines and keeps you right where you want to be in the mix while enhancing your sound with rich tube warmth. And it naturally gives you complete control of all essential parameters, letting you craft a compression that's all your own. Bass players tend to get buried in the mix and it's not just because guitarists are always turning up the volume! Your bass has a low frequency range, which makes it difficult for the human ear to distinguish in the first place. And the techniques bass players use from atmospheric open-string drones to popping and slapping cover a wider dynamic range than almost any other instrument in your band. Squeezer evens your dynamics out, making your lines come through at the right level, no matter how you're playing. Compressors can be complicated, but Squeezer keeps things simple-- giving you full control over compression ratio, threshold, attack, release, gain and overall level in a neat, logical design. This makes Squeezer great for use on stage, where you don't have time for fiddling with too many knobs. But don't be fooled by this pedal's elegant design. It's a full-featured precision instrument that can be fine-tuned almost infinitely for a perfect sound in the studio as well as live on stage. Features: Gain, Level, Comp, Threshold, Attack and Release knobs, built-in tube, input and output jacks, 12 V DC. more information »

The Maxon OSD-9 Pedal may look just like your old overdrive/soft distortion stompbox, but that's where the similarities end. With improved circuitry, the OSD-9 Pedal stands at the forefront of the Maxon 9-Series effects pedal evolution. The OSD-9 Overdrive/Soft Distortion uses a signal-distorting diode (Panasonic #MA150) that is located in the amplifier stage's negative feedback loop (this stage also contains the JRC4558 IC chip). Therefore, the OSD-9 distorts signal in the amplifier section itself which, yields a smoother, milder, more natural sounding distortion than a separate clipping stage. This is also the reason that the IC type used in the circuit has such a large impact on the unit's tone. Maxon developed this unique design more than 20 years ago-an industry first that is commonplace today. The OSD-9 stombox's circuit uses different output resistors than its predecessor. After the unit's initial release it was discovered to have a high susceptibility to noise due to static electricity buildup. To improve performance, the values of the output resistors on the OSD-9 were increased, but their positions kept the same as the original. This circuit change has no audible affect on the sound of the unit, save for reducing unwanted noise levels. In addition, the OSD-9 effect pedal features True Bypass Switching for natural, uncompromised tone in bypass.Like the OD808, the OSD-9 provides the natural, mild overdrive of a tube amp without sacrificing the guitar's original tone. It can also be used as a clean booster to provide increased gain from an amplifier. more information »

High quality dual engine compression and noise gate made stompbox simple.
Packed with never before seen functionalities Nova Dynamics sets new standards to floor-based dynamics control.
Its dual engine design offers a variety of setup and control options that allow you to tailor Nova Dynamics to fit your rig. Use the two engines for different compression settings or switch between stomp compression for that classic squash and TC's advanced multiband compression for subtle, studio-style dynamics control. You can even split the two engines in Nova Dynamics and have a compressor in front of your amp and noise gate in your amp effects loop for true noise reduction of high gain signals.
The Dry Blend feature lets you blend your dry signal in with the compressed signal for optimized attack with no eating into the dynamics while the automatic input gain adjustment on both engines brings perfect settings for e.g. both a Strat and a Les Paul at the flick of a switch. more information »

The BBE Sonic Stomp Pedal will make guitarists and bassists rejoice! More fullness, more presence, more clarity, and more control right at your feet. Hardwire bypass, nonslip rubber bottom, easy-access 9V battery compartment, and included external power supply. The BBE Process-"What it Is"Loudspeakers have difficulty working with the electronic signals supplied by an amplifier. These difficulties cause such major phase and amplitude distortion that the sound reproduced by the speaker differs significantly from the sound produced by the original source. In the past, these problems proved unsolvable and were thus relegated to a position of secondary importance in audio system design. However, phase and amplitude integrity is essential to accurate sound reproduction. Research shows that the information which the listener translates into the recognizable characteristics of a live performance are intimately tied into complex time and amplitude relationships between the fundamental and harmonic components of a given musical note or sound. These relationships define a sound's "sound".When these complex relationships pass through a speaker, the proper order is lost. The higher frequencies are delayed. A lower frequency may reach the listener's ear first or perhaps simultaneously with that of a higher frequency. In some cases, the fundamental components may be so time-shifted that they reach the listener's ear ahead of some or all of the harmonic components. This change in the phase and amplitude relationship on the harmonic and fundamental frequencies is technically called "envelope distortion." The listener perceives this loss of sound integrity in the reproduced sound as "muddy" and "smeared." In the extreme, it can become difficult to tell the difference between musical instruments, for example, an oboe and a clarinet.BBE Sound, Inc. conducted extensive studies of numerous speaker systems over a ten year period. more information »

The DigiTech Screamin' Blues Overdrive Distortion Pedal is designed for guitarists who need a pedal that gives them total control of their tone and is highly responsive to playing dynamics. Playing the Screamin' Blues pedal lightly produces mild overdrive, but dialing up the gain and digging in hard makes it sing with ultrarich harmonics and sustain. Low and High tone controls give you the flexibility to boost or cut the bass and treble frequencies. The Level knob boosts the output level of your signal, and the Gain knob dials up the distortion. An Amp output on the DigiTech Screamin' Blues pedal goes to your amplifier and the dedicated Mixer output has a cabinet emulation circuit that lets you run direct into a mixer or recorder when you don't want to lug your amp along. more information »
