The guitar offered is a unique handmade and hand carved Blueberry Acoustic Grand Concert guitar serial number GC0803201 with intricate carvings of Dragons. This guitar was delicately hand made under the supervision and guidance of master American Luther and Educator, George Morris and Master Balinese Wood Carver Wayan Tuges. The highest quality specially selected woods that were chosen specifically for their sound, resonance, beauty and acoustic characteristics and this guitar has gone through a rigorous series of quality control checks before it was given a serial number and offered for sale. The sound of each Blueberry guitar is unique and our guitars are known to produce extraordinary volume and clarity while at the same time being incredibly light and very easy to play. It takes the combined skills of both a master Luthier and a Master Carver over 60 days to produce each Blueberry guitar. This guitar was completed on March 20th, 2008 and is our 164th guitar. There is a fingerprint of the Master Balinese Wood Carver on the inside label to certify its authenticity. The top is Canadian Cedar. The back and sides are Tasmanian Black Wood and the neck is a combination of Ebony, and Mahogany. The bridge, fret board and headstock are Ebony and the fret board inlay of a Dragon is Jack Wood. The Rosette is carved Ebony. The nut and saddle are bone. All Blueberry Guitars are made with solid woods and use standard wood thicknesses - we do not use thicker woods to adjust for the carvings. more information »

The guitar offered is a unique handmade and hand carved Blueberry Acoustic Grand Concert Guitar serial number GC0805191 with intricate carvings of Lobsters. When we first started producing guitars, in April 2007, our Balinese partners wanted to make a guitar that they thought North Americans would appreciate, and they created our 5th guitar , which had very intricate Lobster carvings. When the first lobster guitar arrived to Montreal, we were surprised to say the least, the carvings were amazing - the claws protruding from the headstock were so realistic that it looked like they would come alive and pinch us. In our minds though, a Lobster is not what most North Americans think of as beautiful and we had our doubts. We displayed guitar #5 at our first trade show, the SIMM Guitar Show in Montreal in July 2007 which coincided with the Montreal Jazz Festival. We were all amazed to see that the Lobster guitar was one of the most popular designs of all our guitars at the show . It turned out that the Balinese got it right (as usual ). Our partner Wayan Tuges, who had flown in from Bali for our companies official launch , took great pleasure in witnessing the popularity of his Lobster theme - SO here is a new Lobster theme guitar - it was completed on May 19th, 2008 and it is our 210th guitar. The back and sides are East Indian Rosewood and there is a rare Albino streak in the Rosewood on the center of the back of this guitar. The headstock is African Ebony, and the carving of the lobster on the headstock is a solid piece of maple that was painted and inlayed into the ebony. The fretboard inlay is a combination of mother of pearl and maple. The top is Canadian Cedar and the rosette is mother of pearl inlay.The nut and the saddle are bone and there is an adjustable double action truss rod in this guitar - and MOST IMPORTANTLY this guitar sounds fantastic, clear and loud and sweet, like all Blueberry guitars. Tom used a thicker, higher pole piece to take advantage of the sustaining qualities of our metal. A solid block of aluminum alloy is machined to our proprietary thickness. This is the thickness that we found in our researching and prototyping to have the best qualities for sound. The guitar is hollowed out, but plays, as it is intended, as a solid body guitar. The chromed body is 17 " long from the tip of the top horn to the back, 13 1/2 " at the widest body point, with a 7 3/4" waist. The guitar weighs 9.75 lbs. Neck - Ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and 25 1/2" scale, 1.71" wide @ nut, 2.22" wide @ 22nd fret. The tilt-back headstock eliminates the need for a string tree and provides crisper open notes. We use a graphite nut which incorporates Teflon and match the grooves to each guitar's intonation. This makes the guitar exceptionable playable. Petros acoustics built with 120 year old Redwood from tunnel 13, built in the 1880's and the site of The Last Great American Train Robbery. The amazing timbers used in this tunnel were from virgin, old growth redwood trees that were up to 2500 years old. A fire in the tunnel in 2004 caused the tunnel to cave in and Petros got some of the salvage.
