The Thump TH-15A/PV14 PA package includes a pair of Tapco Thump 15" powered dpeakers, the Peavey PV14 12-channel Mixer, and 2 - 20' powered speaker cables.Thump 15-inch Powered Speaker Designed by the same team that produced Mackie's best-selling compact active loudspeakers, the THUMP TH-15A Active Loudspeakers provide amazingly accurate response from 20kHz all the way down to 40Hz, giving it just the right amount of punch. All-new Class D circuitry drives its custom, high-precision 15 inch woofer to greater volumes with less heat than is possible with competing designs. Onboard electronics include full system protection packed into a durable polypropylene enclosure, making the TH-15A speaker the most lightweight powerhouse in its class.Exceptional Sonic Performance TH-15A Active loudspeakers put out a tremendous amount of sound for their size and price tag. The two-way bass reflex (ported) design generates ample quantities of chest-pounding bass, and its 1" compression driver ensures smooth, wide dispersion. Tapco even inserted a 3-band equalizer at the input to give you all the tonal control you could ever want, with an available 15dB boost or cut at 80Hz (for the Lows), 100Hz to 8kHz (sweepable Mids) and 12kHz (for the Highs). With the TH-15A's extremely versatile EQ, you can add some extra thump to that kick drum, bring out the sizzle in your hi-hats and add pop to vocals.More Than Just a Powered Speaker Cabinet Sure, the TH-15A has a built-in power amp—it has two of them, 298-Watts for the 15" woofer and 99-Watts for the HF horn. New Class D circuitry drives the woofer more efficiently with less heat byproduct than the competition's speakers. But so much more goes into an Active loudspeaker design than just amplifiers. The Active crossover divides the frequencies, time aligns the signals for proper reproduction and sends them to the appropriate drivers; active compression provides protection for the drivers, and thermal circ more information »

SKU: JMI 15-4
There is no better or more accurate recreation of the original VOX AC-15 than this, the "15-4", manufactured by Jennings Musical Industries (JMI) in Doncaster, England. Every detail is in order: the handwired, point-to-point circuitry, EF86 preamp, Fawn-colored Tolex covering, all original-specification controls, cabinet construction and more. This is the original design, circa 1961.
Some tone hounds think the VOX AC-15 may be the most toneful combo amplifier ever built, even more so than the venerable AC-30. It's definitely easier to nail the "cranked AC-30" tone at more moderate volume levels, making it perfect for both club and recording studio use.
The JMI-15 is a two-channel amplifier (Normal and Vib/Trem). Its controls are Channel 1 Volume, Channel 2 Volume, Brilliance, Top Cut, Channel 2 Vibrato/Tremolo (a 2-position switch) and Speed. There are four inputs, two for each channel. Channel 1 uses the EF86 tube. Fifteen very loud watts are produced by two EL84 tubes. The tube rectifier is an EZ81.
This particular JMI-15 was built in 2009 and is serial #393. It is in great condition because it has lived in my studio. It has a Celestion Greenback 25-watt speaker. You will be amazed at the volume and tone of the JMI -15. If you've ever heard a real VOX AC-15, you know what I'm talking about. It is simply the most beautiful sound you'll ever hear, full of chime, harmonics and balls.
By the way, the hand-wired VOX AC-15, while a nice amp, is not built like an original AC-15. The JMI is. The VOX AC-15 doesn't have the EF86 preamp, which is the heart of this amplifier. The VOX also has a Master Volume control, Hot/Cool footswitch, etc. If you want the original design, the JMI-15 is for you.
The JMI-15 typically sells for over 1,500 British Pounds. (This equals approximately $2,333 plus Import Duties $). My amp is in excellent condition and it's here in the USA. Price: $1,849 + Shipping & Insurance.
