This guitar was hand-built by Gibson Acoustics's master craftsmen in Bozeman, Montana under the leadership of master luthier Ren Ferguson to the exact specs as the J-45's that rolled off the line in the 1950's. Every detail is historically accurate such as hand-scalloped wide X-bracing, vintage tuners, genuine bone nut and saddle and a 1950's profile Mahogany neck. The back and sides are constructed from pattern-grade mahogany from Honduras. The fingerboard and bridge is made from solid Madagascar rosewood and the top is made from Adirondack Red Spruce. Adirondack spruce is the Holy Grail of Tonewoods used by both Martin and Gibson during the prewar era. Red Spruce is a $1000 upgrade over Sitka. It is also very rare. When Gibson wants to build an acoustic that sounds as good as it possibly can, they put an Adi top on it. This guitar is LIGHTWEIGHT, weighing 4 lbs. 6 oz. and extremely resonate. This guitar has got soul with punchy, deep lows, warm mids, and clear, crisp highs. She chimes with excellent projection, sweet harmonics and a warm bass. This guitar is extremely rare, limited to only 20 guitars for a worldwide market and most of them wet to Japan. This guitar is beautiful finished in a 3 color Tobacco Burst finish that really sets off the grain of the wood. This guitar is 100% MINT UNPLAYED and comes complete with the Gibson Acoustic Hardshell case and all the MOJO you can handle!
