The Vintage Southerner is Santa Cruz\' short scale (24 3/4\") slope shoulder dreadnought offering. It is the sound sought after for Texas fiddle style backup. It has also been a huge hit with Blues players and anyone in love with the old short scale Gibson dreadnoughts. This includes fingerstyle blues players and singer/songwriters, backup rhythm players, oldtime players and many more. If you have been impressed by some of the old vintage short- scale slope shoulders of the past such as a Southern Jumbo or J-45, you\'ll be blown away by this guitar.The bracing is double tapered for a warm complex tone with incredible power, focus, and dynamic range.
