Gibson Custom Shop pickguard factory cut for one floating pickup (JBJ size). It has not been previously installed. Mint new condition.
Guard is the correct size for archtop acoustics with one floating pickup....these include the Citation, Johnny Smith, L-5, L-7, and Super 400 C. Also George Goebel L5 CT and L4.
Guard shows stunnning craftsmanship under the microscope...multiple binding is perfect. Guard is 1/8th inch thick and 8 inches long on the straight edge.
Gibson ordinarily used the confetti sheetstock on wine red and natural finishes...but it works fine on sunburst too (see detail pic below...guard is held against a sunburst finish on an Eastman guitar).
Guard would work great on most archtop acoustics including Gretsch Synchromatic and Epiphone Emperor. Perfect factory pickup route can be enlarged if your floating pickup is l;arger than the standard Gibson size.
Top grade material and best craftsmanship.
No reserve auction.
Shipping to usa 6.20 first class insured.

I inherited a beautiful 1967 G 50.
The guitar is in excellent condition and still lives inside
the original case.
These pictures don't do the piece justice.
If you know Gallagher guitars - you'll understand just
what sort of history you're holding when you pick this up.
Unfortunately, it's more guitar than I can play.
We're in Southern California.
Willing to discuss any reasonable offers.

This is the 14th of 24 Gibson Custom Shop ES 355 -1959 Historic Reissues with "Special Appointments" commissioned in 2002 by Garys Classic Guitars, from the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, TN.
It is an incredible guitar, which originally listed for $8500 in 2002. My asking price of $4200 is less than half that. Considering the condition of this guitar (near mint) as well as being stored in a climate controlled vault when not in use, you can't go wrong!
This group of guitars was commissioned to recapture the classic appointments of the original instrument, and the variations of the ES355 in 1959. The records indicate that there were only a handful of natural blonde ES355's shipped (although early records are sketchy) and even rarer were the ES355's with a Stop Tailpiece.
This commissioned Historic Reissue Guitar boasts both the Stop Tailpiece and the Natural Blonde Finish which represents the rarest of the ES355's produced in 1959.
Thin double cutaway, semi-hollow body with solid maple block down center, stereo electronics with *Vari-tone rotary tone switch (*Professionally Disconnected), 2 humbucking pickups, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs and a switch, tune-o-matic bridge, A stop tailpiece which is very rare, multiple bound tortoise pickguard that extends below the bridge, multiple bound top, triple bound back, single bound ebony fingerboard, unbound F-holes, block fingerboard inlays, neck joins body at 19th fret, 5-piece split-diamond peghead inlay, gold plated parts, Grover rotomatic tuners, and a Highly flamed Natural Blonde finish.
This guitar is one of a kind, built in the Coveted Nashville Custom Shop in 2002. With the opening of the Memphis Custom Facility in 2000,the Nashville Custom Shop was still considered the Premier Facility producing the highest quality Custom Guitars that Gibson had to offer!
*(Vari-tone parts have been safely store, and will come with the Guitar. Cost to re-connect approx. $75 - $100)

In the mid-70's, virtuoso George Benson had a vision of the cutting edge features a jazz guitar needed to survive in the new world of amplification Ñand the durability it would need to survive on the road (which his expensive traditional boxes were having a tough time doing). Twenty-five years later, this modern jazz classic is our longest running signature model.
