Book of transcribed Wes Montgomery solos, published in 2000. (Edited by John Alexander. Coastal Publishing.) An excellent professional quality resource for study of the master's style. The book, with nice spiral binding, contains the following transcribed solos: Besame Mucho, Dangerous, Yesterdays, No Blues, James and Wes, Fried Pies, and If I Should Lose You. Solos are captured in their entirety, notes to octaves to chords. There is an analysis of each solo which illustrates the favored licks and devices used by Wes. This is a great way to study his vocabulary and incorporate much of his concept into your own playing. Technical level and reading skill are in the medium difficulty range. NO TAB.
