This 1967 Gibson ES-335TDC is a players dream. Jazz, Blues, Country and Rock, it's the most versatile guitar of all time. The solid maple block down the center of the body minimizes feedback, but the hollow body wings gives good sustain, tone and weight. The solid center section along with the streamlined thinner hollowed chambers between the top and bottom, adds fullness and harmony that provide a spectacular sound. The double-cutaway design allows for greater fret access, along with the fast, low action neck. Classic semi-hollowbody design and dual Gibson humbuckers combine to produce everything from full-bodied growls to singing sustain. She's warm, full bodied, clean and versatile with the ability to go from clean warm tones through to smoking distortion. She'll put goosebumps on your arms!
She's sweet and extremely RARE finished in Burgundy Metallic which was only available on this model from mid-1966 to mid-1968. The finish shows moderate checking which greatly adds to the character of this fine instrument, along with the nicks and dings that you would expect to see on a vintage guitar of this caliber. The overall condition of the instrument is excellent indeed, showing no buckle wear. PAT PEND Grovers replaced the Klusions many years ago. Everything else is ORIGINAL including the factory Trapeze Tailpiece, original twin patent-number humbucking pickups, true vintage tone and MOJO! The serial number is 097414 and she weighs 8.1 lbs.
