NGC30566 When Buffalo Bros. received the first G&L Bluesboys back in 1999 ~ the reaction was phenomenal. One of the secrets to its' success was the pickup selection. In consultation with Seymour Duncan, the '55 Seth Lover Seymour Duncan Humbucker was chosen specifically for the way it sonically balanced with the MFD single coil at the bridge. Because of this array ~ you'll find three distinct tones. In the neck is that classic old Les Paul-ish tone (more 335-ish in a Semi-Hollow) ~ dark and thick. At the bridge is a Tele tone on steroids as is the nature of the MFD with a totally cutting edge detail making it breathe C&W and Classic Rock tone! But in the middle, which we find is the favored position is a blend of the two. Of course, the best thing to do is experience this.
