This Memphis Reissue features the best of Gibson in 50 years. Custom Made in 2009, this very limited edition features a FLAMED Maple top, back and sides and a BIGSBY vibrato. When Gibson started making 335s, they were all drilled with holes for a stop tailpiece. Gibson would provide a guitar to an individual or a dealer with a Bigsby tailpiece only when requested. Since the Bigsby eliminates the need for a stop, they needed to cover up the holes with something. Their choice was to use a plastic engraved plaque that said "Custom Made" which they continued to use until early 1965. This limited edition features that plastic engraved plaque. Classic semi-hollow body design and dual '57 Gibson humbuckers combine to produce everything from full-bodied growls to singing sustain. The sound is awesome, warm, full bodied, clean and versatile with the ability to go from clean warm tones through to smoking distortion.
