SKU: GS3043146 Gibson SG Pro, circa 1971. Serial # 628245. Amazing tone, plays great. Just professionally set up. All original. P-90's. Bigsby like vibrato. Gibson only made these for 3 years, so they are exceedingly rare. This is a killer axe! Gibson hardshell case included. It is missing the pickguard, and the 3 tiny screwholes are visible where it was attached. It's also missing one of the pick up covers (see pix) and a couple of screws for the other pick up cover and there is a crack in the plastic top of the pick up with the cover missing, which doesn't affect sound at all. With the pick up cover off, it's easy to see the massive amount of copper wound on these pick ups, which ain't done no more, and explains why this guitar can eat any modern SG for breakfast! Nothing more needs to be said about the tone you get from SG's! That's why they were used by Clapton (in Cream), Jerry Garcia, Santana, Robbie Krieger (Doors), Derek Trucks, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Todd Rundgren, Tommy Iommi (Black Sabbath), John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, and so many others. Seriously, this guitar screams. If you want an axe that's gonna cut through everything else on stage, you've found it!
