This amazing re-creation with Maestro Tailpiece includes pickups and long neck tenon modeled precisely on the original. The the Faded Cherry finish is cherry! And! The VOS aging treatment makes it look exactly like a vintage original instrument that's been treated with loving care for its whole life.
Originally intended to bring a new style to the Les Paul line, the SG was renamed in 1963. With its ultra-thin, double-cutaway body, the SG was lighter than the Les Paul and allowed freer access to the upper register both features that rockers immediately appreciated. This reissue guitar features a mahogany body, Maestro tailpiece, 1960 slim-taper neck profile, vintage tulip tuners, and Burstbucker pickups.
