This 2010 Gibson Custom Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue is the latest and the greatest Gibson has to offer. Marked for Yamano, this Limited Edition Lemonburst Les Paul is extremely RARE and highly sought after - "Handpicked" FOR YAMANO as indicated in the model name and designation Y-LPR9VOSLBNH1. The Yamano's are considered to be the very best guitars, built to the highest standard. They are built from the finest woods and handpicked for their outstanding appearance and performance. Until 2007 when Gibson severed ties with Yamano, who was Gibson's Japanese distributor, the very best guitars were sent to Japan. Today, guitars are still handpicked for their outstanding appearance and performance, built from the finest woods, judged by the highest standard and they are still marked with a Y designation in the SKU. However, they are now available to the domestic market in extremely limited numbers. This is one of those guitars. This guitar has a KILLER FLAME MAPLE TOP with tons of flecking in the grain. This kind of figured Maple is very hard in texture and reflective. Found in less than 1 in 1,000 trees, this kind of wood, captures stress between the flames of grain and produces a loud, powerful projective sound. This guitar is extremely resonant and extremely light, weighing in at 8 lbs 12.5 oz. She's perfectly balanced, light on your back and powerful with tons of that mid range GROWL!
