Seasoned to perfection with tone to die for, resonate and sweet with great harmonics and overtones, powerful and punchy. She's got the high end fidelity to really scream, bite, soar and articulate. Action is light, she plays like butter and really nails those Blues licks with more control and a bigger bite. Medium Frets are like new, perfect for bends and stays in tune better than a tremolo. She plays effortlessly and sounds awesome. The sustain is incredible but not at the expense of the clarity. This is a better sounding Strat than any of the reissues, no wonder the vintage prices on these '70's CBS Strats are climbing rapidly. It's because of the BIG FAT TONE!
The three-bolt neck plate, big headstock, bullet truss rod and classic "F" tuners all mark the times as well as the rebellious attitude of the Rock'n Roll years. The Serial Number S950320 dates to 1979. The CTS pot codes (1378009), pups (126380) and neck (09031003) all date to 1980. The guitar is ALL ORIGINAL, with the original 5 way switch, 3 ply black white black pickguard, matching black on black original 3 single coil Gray Bottom pickups with flush poles and MONSTER TONE! The saddles were replaced, but the originals are included. Comes complete with the owners manual, original inspection tag and Fender molded hardshell case.
