More Music is selling this 1956 Gibson ES-225T in very good condition. The ES-225T was a thinline Fully Hollow Electric Archtop made for only 4 years, between 1955 and 1959. Judging by the serial number (U913 20) stamped inside the body, this particular guitar was made in 1956. There is no decal inside the guitar. This guitar plays exceptionally well, straight neck, thin frets show some pocketing, tuners appear to be original, single P90 pickup appears to be original, trapeze tailpiece appears to be original, but I believe the bridge is not original, laminated beveled-edge pickguard appears to be original, no binding shrinkage, only minor cosmetic dings, nicks and scratches, finish checking, awesome sustain. Electronics working perfectly. Much like a slightly fancier 1960's ES-125TC with different tailpiece. Single bound top, back and rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot fingerboard inlays, pearl logo, sunburst or natural finish. Single pickup is neither in the neck or bridge position, but in between the two positions. Some might say you get the best of both worlds. A one-trick pony that rides like a stallion! Comes with non-original hard shell case, with blue plush lining. more information »
