The EMX5016CF delivers the convenience of an integrated powered mixer with input capacity, flexible features, and solid sound that critical live applications demand. It is remarkably compact and portable for a live sound system with this much capability. And thanks to leading Yamaha digital technology, the EMX5016CF also includes a number of innovations that make it easier than ever to achieve top-class sound in just about any venue. An impressive power output of 500 watts per channel means it can handle fairly large audiences, indoors or out. Versatile 16-input configuration adapts to varied source requirements The EMX5016CF has a total of 16 input channels—eight for monaural microphone or line input plus four stereo pairs. The stereo channel pairs can function either as monaural microphone inputs or stereo line inputs. This system gives you extra microphone inputs if your sources are mostly microphones, or if you need to handle more stereo sources, the EMX5016CF will comfortably handle four pairs in addition to eight mono mic or line inputs.Advanced channel EQ 3-band EQ is available on all input channels, but extra versatility is provided on the eight mono channels with mid-frequency sweep controls. The mid EQ center frequency can be continuously swept from 250 Hz through 5 kHz so you can precisely pinpoint frequencies in the critical midrange.Ample I/O for expansion and integration All you need to create a powerful, high-performance live sound system is the EMX5016CF, a pair of speakers or two, and your sources. But it does feature a range of inputs and outputs that allow it to be expanded with external gear or integrated into larger systems. Insert patch points on the mono input channels, for example, let you add outboard signal processing to individual input channels. And although you have all the monitor power and effects you're likely to need built in, external aux and effect sends allow you to route the mixer's signals to external signal proces more information »

In recent years, the analog voice processor has become an indispensable direct link between microphone and multi-track recorder, enabling engineers to capture the highest quality vocal sound on tape or hard disc without the compromises in sound quality that most mixing consoles impose. Going straight to multitrack through a well-designed voice processor has unlocked the true potential of microphones and transformed the sound of modern vocal recordings.TL Audio has long recognized the benefits of this approach, including high-quality mic preamps on every Valve Classics product since the original EQ-1 Dual Valve Equalizer was launched in 1993. The VP-1 is the latest addition to the Valve Classics range, and combines all the best elements of the PA-1 pentode preamp, C-1 compressor, and EQ-2 parametric equalizer to create a truly flexible and spectacular-sounding valve front end for any audio system. The VP-1 features seven valve stages, run from a stabilized 250v DC supply. The first stage is a Siemens EF86 pentode in the front end of the preamp, followed by six Sovtek ECC83/12AX7A stages: one in the secondary stage of the preamp, one in the compressor, and four in the EQ section.About TL Audio TL Audio began manufacturing audio products in 1990, when the company - founded by Tony Larking - was largely involved in the restoration and reselling of vintage equipment such as Neve and Trident recording consoles. The first TL Audio products were original Neve EQ modules, which were taken principally from broadcast consoles and repackaged to make them suitable for music production studios. A little later, Tony Larking joined forces with David Kempson, a leading designer at Neve for nine years. By 1993 the demand for used valve outboard equipment had become very strong but most models such as the original Pultec and Fairchild valve devices were already extremely rare and expensive. There appeared an obvious gap in the market for brand new affordable valve products and the res more information »

This special Spotlight Series edition of the Heil Sound PR 22 delivers the same outstanding versatility and range of the original. This model though, comes in several slick colors. The Heil PR 22 represents completely redesigned dynamic microphone technology designed for a wide range of professional applications such as live sound, commercial broadcast, and sophisticated recording. The microphone's wide frequency range and outstanding, low handling noise outperforms the tired, 30+ year old industry technology and can withstand huge amounts of SPL. The end result is a microphone that can answer the call to any application. For example, the gorgeous upper mid range makes the Heil PR 22 among the best live vocal microphones, while its outstanding frequency response and superb dynamic range suit it perfectly for use with a snare drum.Since 1982, Heil Sound has been ranked with the leading manufacturers of communications microphones and has a paramount understanding of phasing. When properly applied, this knowledge creates outstanding cardioid patterns with unbelievable rear rejection that removes unwanted sounds that try to enter from the off-axis rear. Its pattern control is outstanding. This exceptional performance is achieved by using the ideal combination of materials for the large low mass diaphragm and a special mixture of neodymium, iron, and boron that gives the PR 22 the strongest magnet structure available. In addition to the special magnet structure, the Heil PR 22 microphone achieves its exceptional performance by using a large 1-1/8" low mass voice coil assembly with a very unique internal sorbothane suspension system that has been designed to reduce undesirable handling noise. Special attention has been paid to the phasing plug assembly with equally placed ports that sense audio from behind, entering them out of phase. Thus, it produces a very linear cardioid pattern and reduces the proximity effect while achieving perfect articulation. This Heil el more information »
