With hum-canceling side-by-side coils and twin-blade pole pieces, the Fast Track 1 dishes out solid single-coil tone with some distinct advantages. The blade's magnetic field is continuous from end to end - no more strings misaligned over individual poles. There's also less string-pull, eliminating the out of tune sound caused when magnetic pull messes with the string vibration. Most important is the sound. The Fast Track 1 has the same open top end as a single-coil with a tighter, more focused bass response. Picking dynamics are intact too: Fast Tracks speak with the sensitivity of your favorite single-coil, only about twice as loud. If you use a hot bridge humbucker, try a Fast Track 1 in the middle and neck positions. The Fast Track 1's enhanced output will better match the bucker's volume for smoother transition from one pickup position to another. You can put a whole set of Fast Track 1 pickups in a Strat for louder, tougher tone. Different combinations of Fast Track1TM, Chopper, and Fast Track 2, pickups can add guts and drive to any single-coil guitar. The DP381 is the Tele bridge version. Recommended For: All basic Strat replacement situations. The dual radiused blade polepieces will handle all string-spacing requirements, and the magnetic field creates a very even string-to-string balance. Tech Talk: For any situation where single-coil sound with higher power and hum-cancellation is required. Can be used in any position in a standard Strat setup. Also combines with bridge humbuckers such as PAF, PAF Pro, Fred, Air Classic, Air Zone, Norton, and Tone Zone. more information »

The DiMarzio DP153 FRED Pickup is for neck and bridge positions - suitable for solid, semi, and hollowbody guitars. DiMarzio FRED humbuckers are like the PAF Pro with more gain, mid EQ, and overtones. The DiMarzio FRED gives you a wide, fat tone with more crank and growl. Also very responsive to picking so you can pick harder to shift from crunch to overdrive. Great for combined lead/rhythm players. In power trios, the FRED pickup helps fill the mix. For straight-in recording, the DiMarzio FRED lets you make the changes from your guitar.FRED© is built to bump the mid-range of the PAF Pro© EQ up a notch, but in the process, something unusual happened. Harmonics that humbuckers usually don t reproduce started popping out, particularly with overdriven amps and distortion units. FRED© has about the same power as the PAF Pro©, but the unusual overtones create a sound with more crank and growl. Joe Satriani was the first player to discover and exploit these qualities, and it s been his main bridge pickup ever since. FRED© is really sensitive to changes in pick attack and control settings, and its distinctive tone makes a great recorded sound for both penetrating solos and tight rhythm tracks. The Fred© started out as a prototype designed to add a little midrange to the PAF Pro©. When we sent one of the first ones to Joe Satriani, he discovered and exploited a unique tonal characteristic - the Fred©'s ability to emphasize upper midrange and treble harmonics through an overdriven and distorted amp. Many standard humbuckers have a tendency to fatten up with distortion. The Fred© does the opposite; it gets tighter and brighter, much like a single-coil. Joe uses the Fred© strictly as a bridge pickup, but it's also a distinctive neck pickup - works really well with a Norton©, Tone Zone© or Evolution© bridge model. more information »

Like the F-H3, the F-H3A uses two stud piece loaded coils for better noise rejection with over-wound coils and a ceramic magnet, but incorporates an Alnico 5 magnet for a warmer sound with a full top end. This pickup uses EMG's traditional solid cover cap in a unique HZ design. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise. The F-H3A has Floyd Rose pole spacing of .410" (10.41mm) string to string. more information »
