The TESLA AS-1 is an Active single strat type humbucker, it features Alnico V pole piece magnets and plain enamel copper wire. The AS-1 we designed as a medium high powered pickup that produces a clean, warm, and smooth vintage single coil sound that fits most playing styles. Designed to fit and work in all three playing positions, neck, middle and bridge.
Combine the AS-1 with the AS-2, use the AS-1 in the bridge position and the AS-2 in the middle and neck positions for incredible variations of sounds.
Our newly designed super efficient preamp features a power consumption of only 90 micro amperes. My BG Bucker is a classic style humbucker that was designed to capture the tones of the 60s-70s-and beyond. Basically the cool sounds I grew up with. The tones are rooted in the early PAF realm and the materials are basicaly what was used in the old pups. The sound is created to have an open, dynamicaly complex sound with chimey highs and tight lows. Also this pup was designed to have a very believable split coil sounds.
These pups feature an Alnico 5 magnet, nickle plates base and pole pieces, wax potting and can be wound as a calibrated set.
