Introduced in 1937, the P-90 Soapbar's distinctive gutsy sound make it Gibson's most popular single coil pickup. The wide body had a coil with long outer turns for greater capacitance and a smooth, powerful response. Seymour Duncan faithfully duplicates every detail in sound, construction, and appearance in this vintage model. more information »

The Air Norton T is the Tele bridge replacement version of the full-size Air Norton. It's warm sounding, very well balanced, and has the same unique tonal characteristics as the original. Fatter and louder than a vintage humbucker but not as overwhelming as a metal pickup, it's a great way for Tele players to make their guitars rock-friendly.Recommended For: All positions.Tech Talk: The original Airbuckers have an air gap between the magnet and the pole pieces. The Air Norton T doesn't have this feature, but the sound, output and feel are so similar to the original that we couldn't call it anything else. It's a very good bridge pickup for all types of rock. The combination of medium output and harmonic bite are very effective for single-note soloing as well as chords. The split and parallel humbucking modes are very good, with a glassy sound closer to a stock Tele. more information »

Based on a 1956 LP Goldtop that is owned by a friend of Jason Lollar. Underwound version of Lollar's soapbars, with magnet strength reduced. Cleaner tone at any volume, decreased lows and mids, less growl. Scatter wound for extended frequency response. Alnico 5 magnets provide wide dynamic range, and increase the amp's tonal response to picking pressure. These may be a good choice for the player who tends to lean more toward single-coils than humbuckers, and who may find traditional P-90s to be a little bigger and fuller than they prefer. Our own Brian Reuschling has a 3-pickup set in a Reverend Jetstream 390 (cool guitar!), and finds that in this guitar the bridge is very Tele-like, with the other four positions sounding like a beefed-up Strat. (This is a bolt-on neck guitar, with some aspects of its construction being more similar to a Strat than a Les Paul, so these observations may not apply so much if you're looking for pickups for your Les Paul or SG.) RWRP for hum-canceling when combined. Available with black or cream pickup covers. 3-piece set available, with RWRP middle for hum-canceling in combination positions. more information »

This set has plain enamel wire as used in the '60s, instead of the Formvar wire used in the earlier pickups (and in Fralin's Vintage Hots). These are ideally suited for use in late '60s and early '70s Strats where the gray bobbin and enamel wire are "vintage correct". The Woodstocks have the same number of turns of wire as the Vintage Hots, and the same Alnico 5 magnets which yields a similar output. This follows Fralin's logic of having vintage neck/middle pickups, but with a hotter bridge. We also stock this model with reverse staggered polepieces The reverse-staggered magnets also makes this set ideally suited for use in left-handed guitars when a Vintage Hot output level is desired.
Regarding Pickup Covers: We order Fralins with white covers. Lindy actually makes his own covers in four colors, but we don't have knobs to match so we don't stock them. We used to, but kept running into problems with disappointed customers whose covers and knobs didn't match, so now we order Fralin's pickups in white, and if you want other colors we have Fender covers available, and we have knobs to match them. more information »
