After owning and operating a full service string shop for over 4 years, Kurt and Julie Morrow decided it was time to restructure the business and specialize in basses only (Kurt's instrument of choice for almost 30 years). The idea of a boutique style shop specializing in vintage and rare basses was born after attending several trade shows throughout the last few years and recognizing the need for more specialty bass shops in the Midwest. Needing a bigger market area they relocated their shop and family from just outside of Manhattan, Kansas to Kansas City and opened The BassMint in Westport, located in the Historic Westport area of Kansas City, Missouri. This area has been a lively entertainment district in K.C. for decades and proves to be a great location for the shop! If you're ever in the neighborhood, they would love for you to come in and check out the shop in person. |
