If you dig the sound of early Roy Buchanan, early Danny Gatton and other country influenced roadhouse virtuosos as much as I do this is about as good as it gets. The bridge pickup has all .632 height level pole piece magnets except for a slightly higher .650" D string magnet for better string balance. In my opinion, bridge pickups like this one work best with 8.5" or greater radius fingerboards. If you've got a Tele with a rounder board you might want to consider a set with more magnet staggering like Fralin's "Stock" Telecaster pickups set.
Other bridge pickup features include black fibreboard coil form, waxed string coil wrap, copper clad steel bottom plate, careful wax potting to reduce microphonics and vintage style cloth covered output leads. The neck pickup sports a traditional chrome plated cover. Hotter than stock outut. The bridge pickup is overwound 5%; this is about as hot as you want to go if you want to keep the twang in the house. The neck pickup is overwound 2% for a bit more than stock output. Both pickups feature black fibreboard coil forms, Alnico V magnets, vintage style enameled magnet wire and Fralin's world class hand craftsmenship. The bridge pickup features staggered Alnico V magnets for optimum string balance and note defition with vintage radius fingerboards in the mid 7s to the mid 8s. This bridge pickup employs Lindy's special magnet staggering; the 'D' string manget is .710", the 'G' is .680", all others are .650". This staggering is especially effective with fingerboard radius in the mid 7s to the mid 8s.
