This instrument is a particularly fine example of the late 1930's L-5 with very highly flamed maple sides and nicely figured maple back. It is 100% original except for replacement pick guard. Very Good to Excellent condition! ----- There was a very slight seam separation on the back of the guitar which is common from this era. It has been professionally repaired by a highly skilled luthier. It appears that there has been some over-spray, although this has not been verified. If so, it appears to have been done many years ago - most likely by the Kalamazoo factory. ----- It is quite apparent that this guitar has seen very little playing time as the silver-nickel frets are original and in excellent condition. This guitar has amazing volume and a very nicely balanced tonal range. This guitar comes with the original tweed "airline" case. more information »

The Henriksen Tweety is a simple, elegant solution which allows you to have a warm, rich sounding amplifier that will also bring out the brilliant highs of flattop acoustic guitars. Simply plug the Tweety into the extension speaker jack on your amplifier, and you now have the extended range needed to properly amplify an acoustic instrument. The Tweety has a built in crossover(@2.5kHz) and a level control knob. The Tweety also has two parallel in/out jacks for daisy-chaining, and a microphone mount so you can place it anywhere in the room you need it, creating a great field effect which adds to the natural acoustic sound of your instrument. A Tweety (or two!) mounted to a mic stand at ear level, 3 or 4 feet away from the amplifier creates a hi-fi sound experience that you will get lost in. It truly is a pleasure to hear. When using the Tweety with a JazzAmp, the tweeter and the crossover are designed to work with the 3 kHz and 10 kHz knobs on the JazzAmp equalizer. Many acoustic amps offer the ability to turn a tweeter on and off, or the ability to turn the tweeter volume up and down, but with a JazzAmp you can actually equalize the Tweety to perfectly blend it with the sound of the amplifier. ----- DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS: visit http://www.dhrmusic.com/details.aspx?item=1934512 more information »
