This is our take on the classic Tube Screamer. We have changed the clipping diodes to a clear the tone of the overdrive, Tamed the mid range hump, Added more range of gain. It can clean up nicely or go over the top gain wise. The tone control is much more responsive and musical than the original. The phase craze came about in the 70s. All major effects makers had a phase pedal of some sort. Various degrees of phasing and swirling leslie type effects are possible with phasers.
This phase pedal takes us back to a certain script model phaser that Eddie Van Halen used to create some of his earlier signature tones. Based on the classic and unmistakable tone of the Tube Screamer 808 model. The 808 is THE pedal Stevie Ray Vaughan used for his signature tone. We have tweaked the midrange to help tame the pedal ever so slightly. We changed the clipping diode to provide asymmetrical clipping. This uses the famous Texas Instruments RC4558P OP amp to deliver the quiet tone the overdrive is known for.
