The CROSSROADS SET(tm) (CRtm)
Patent-Applied-For ALL THE WAY ! They look the same, but SOUND BETTER, and cost a LOT LESS ! What's more, un-like the originals, these sound great EVERY TIME ! This set of pickups was built to replicate the tone from the song "Crossroads" from Cream's "Wheels of Fire" album. They have been tested extensively in an SG, a Firebird, and a Les Paul. They absolutely NAIL that sound!
Their construction was in the works for nearly a year at the behest of Michael Lawrence of the Contortions, Mikey, Gong/N.Y. Gong, National Health, World at a Glance, the U.S. "Surfin' with the Alien/Joe Satriani" tour, Rick Derringer. This is the tone that Mick has been chasing since he first heard the "Wheels of Fire" album when learning guitar. He finally found that sound with this superb set of pickups.

The Ironman is the quite possibly the most musically complex and powerful pickup ever used.
BOTTOM LINE.... For everything from Pantera, Dimmu Borgir and Meshuggah, with a little classic Priest and Maiden thrown in for good measure. The Iron Man is by far the most powerful of all our pups and just as controllable.
Any Man that has the Balls to slap one of these pickups into their axe, is really in for a sheer blistering experience. It's our belief that if every metal player on the face of this rock had one in their axe, they'd never use another pickup. This pickup reads at apprx. 22k, with an Alnico5. Other magnets are available to suit your personal tastes, from Alnico2,3,4,5,8, and a Ceramic8.

"I truely could not put my axe down today after slapping in that pup, it just plain frikkin' slays, and is the first pickup that I've ever used that could eat an EMG 81... I may hook up two 9 volt batteries to one of my EMG 81's and do the infamous 18 volt mod and run another comparison but I still doubt that it could hang with a fully unleashed Ironman, it's that meaty"..!!!"

After getting to actually hold ,photograph,and get the specs of this famous Les Paul (pix to prove it), WCR is building a replica of that set for you. This set is just like that on the axe itself.
