The True 60's are copies of the most special set of 1960 PAF's we have ever played. These second generation pickups are as close to the tone of the 1960 PAF's you can get without a time machine or $5000! They are copied down to the last detail and each magnet is hand tested in shop to insure they are just like the real deal. Each part is hand aged so not only do they sound old, they look it. If you want a classic, fat PAF tone, these pickups smoke. The bridge pickup reads 8.5k and the neck reads 7.7k. This is a hybrid set with one antique white bridge pickup and one zebra neck pickup. The shredder is a High output unbalanced bucker that has the sound of the best JB you never heard. It's everything you always wanted from the JB with out the nasty upper mid spike. The Shredder is a four conductor pickup that also sounds great as a single coil. The pickup does it all from PAF to High gain monster all with the use of your guitars volume knob. These RS/PAFs are made for RS by Lindy Fralin, and are exact copies of the real 1960 PAFs found in Roy’s main Les Paul®. There tone is very smooth with a great single coil sting for that P-90 cut through. They do a great job of getting that old Dickey Betts and early Jimmy Page tone. The neck pickup reads 7.4K and the bridge is 8.1K both have unbalanced coils and are unspotted with Alnico IV magnets.
