The concept for the Kramertorium guitar was to deliver a high-performance version of the popular V design. Unlike most V guitars, the Kramer’s sleek neck-to-body transition, combined with a unique lower cutaway, delivers effortless access to the very last of its 24 frets. A convex body carve and rear contours add important ergonomic features of this monstrous axe. The guitar jack is recessed and installed on the outside of the body. We felt that in the sitting position, this was a much better jack placement. The guitars set neck construction, EMG 81/85 pickup configuration, mahogany body; maple neck and ebony fingerboard were chosen as Kramertorium’s power tone generators. Its two-tone paint, reverse neck logo, binding, and real MOP Shark Tooth inlays punctuate the look of this impressive axe.

The Turbulence’s R-36 massive neck provides the extended sonic range which stretches from the low B all the way to the 4th octave of the high E. For increased stability of their ultra flat profile, we decided to build these necks with a 5 piece lamination process of well seasoned quarter-sawn maple and walnut. The Turbulence R-36 is unique instrument which provides their painted necks with a “Composition Display Widow” headstock section. Turbulence’s fingerboard features triple parabolic position markers and two different fret sizes. To achieve better fret spacing in the hyper range, Turbulence R-36 has medium jumbo frets installed from 1-24 and skinny tall from 24 to 36. In order for these instruments to deliver maximum performance in their upper register, the lower body scoop is enlarged and the heel section of the neck is ergonomically sculpted. Both Turbulence R-36 and R-29 guitars endorse the revolutionary Delta Wing ergonomic shape featuring the removable left-leg rest unit. Gary Kramer design team paid special attention to each and every detail of this highly sophisticated instrument.

Custom 2 is a bold, straight forward version of the Custom guitar. Fully bound flattop still featuring an arm slant contour delivers a touch of class. Black hardware, Floyd Rose Original, direct mounted Zebra humbucker and true MOP “Saber Tooth” inlays are very much a Déjà-Vu of the ‘80’s “Take no prisoners” guitar building approach. Alder body, Maple neck, 6-point neck construction, and bound pointy headstock are just a reminder that this serious axe is not for the innocent.
