Why do we use eight 10†speakers? Because we learned early on that 10†speakers work much more efficiently than fifteens or eighteens—and if you put eight 10†speakers together, you can move a much larger column of air. In fact, you’d need five 18†or six 15†speakers to move as much air as the SVT-810AV! And they simply wouldn’t be able to respond to transient peaks as quickly as our tens.
The SVT-810AV is still manufactured using the same design dating all the way back to 1969. The Infinite Baffle design of these sealed enclosures produces vast amounts of tightly focused bass. The AVT150H is the head version of the AVT150 and boasts all the same features and facilities as its combo brother. This includes the excellent 'Scoop' facility. On OD1 this radically scoops the mid frequencies whilst tightening the bass for aggressive driving rhythm sounds. On OD2 the middle is again dipped, but a cut in the upper frequencies smoothes out the sound for a more bass heavy ('Nu') Metal selection.
Driving the AVT412A (angled) and AVT412B (straight), 4x12'', 200 Watt, Celestion loaded cabinets, this four channel head brings absolute flexibility and forms the ultimate stage rig. For an even more imposing set-up, the AVT150H can drive standard 1960 4x12'' cabinets.
As with the AVT150 combo, the head also features a Headphone Jack, Speaker Emulated Line-Out, Effects Loop with level control and FX Mix Control. more information »
