In 2002, the R9 has some remarkable , historically accurate features, including: Kluson machine heads, improved tuner bushings, more accurately shaped fingerboard inlays, non-wire ABR-1 bridge, amber tophat knobs, CTS pots, thinner jackplate and toggle washer (also featuring period accurate lettering), and Burstbucker pickups.
