Other AnalogMan Ibanez TS-9/808 Classic Mod, Brand New $165.00

SKU: GS20274
New Ibanez TS9 tube screamer, with Analog Man classic 808 mod. More options are available to add to this basic model. We can modify any TS-9, original or reissue, to 100% TS-808 specs, using the original type JRC4558D IC chip. Add The SILVER Option: SILVER $30 [Add $30.00] Modify - KWS Tour Survival Option Kenny Wayne Shepherd has been using my modified TS9 tube screamers since late 1998. On the left is a picture of three of his pedals that he sent me for the mods. I have come up with a KWS option to survive the abuse that occurs to pedals on the road. ($15) I beef-up the mechanical attachments of the various components so you or Kenny can't break them! Things like the pots, jacks, and even the circuit board can break loose with heavy use. This mod will keep those parts in place better than stock. This option more than doubles the time it takes us to do the 808 mod, it is very labor intensive, but we will try to keep the price down. It is an additional $15 along with the 808 mod. It does not change the tone, but if you tour if could be worth it. I also stick on the flourescent green gaffer's tape (easy to see onstage) to make it look exactly like his pedals. I can also add the KWS knob settings if you so request. We put black marks on the pedal for each knob setting like he does in the picture on the left. The KWS option is only available on a 3 knob Ibanez or Maxon pedal, not the TS9DX or Boss pedals. The numbers we write on the pedals is random, Kenny has #1 to #6, let us know if you want a special favorite number. Add KWS Tour Survival Option: KWS Option with Green gaffers tape, no knob markings $15 [Add $15.00] KWS Option with No tape or markings $15 [Add $15.00] KWS Option with Both tape and knob markings $15 [Add $15.00] Add Superbright LED: Standard LED - $0; Green, Yellow or Red LED available - add $10 more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Beano Boost w/Toggle, Brand New $165.00

SKU: GS20261
True Bypass switching with minimal popping. LED for on/off. NOS Germanium Transistor chosen for low noise and best tone. Three-way, short and sturdy toggle switch for tone selection: Middle: "HI" Standard Dallas Rangemaster tone, treble enhanced. Up: MIDs, more of a full range boost. Down: LOW, full range sound with a bit more bassy setting. Optional PUSH PULL volume pot (Add $15)allows two tone settings: Down: "HI" Standard Dallas Rangemaster tone, treble enhanced. Up: MIDS, more of a full range boost, great for Fender guitars! * This can be reversed at order time if desired, or changed to Full and Bass settings. Volume Control allows substantial boost. Can boost volume quite a bit. Has about the same output level ON and OFF with the vol knob set at 9:00. At 11:00 there is about a 10dB boost, which sounds twice as loud. At 12:00 there is a 13dB boost, and up all the way is about an 18dB boost which is nearly twice as loud as it was at 11:00. Durable Grey Hammertone (like original) powdercoated cast alloy case. Silk Screened graphics as seen on the pedal at the very top of the page. Circuit hand-wired point to point like the original. No circuit board used. I won't claim this is better than using a quality circuit board, but it works very well for this pedal. It does takes us more time to build them. All can use a 9V Battery, a Boss style power jack is optional for $10. This pedal uses only 5mA of power when on (LED) and barely any power when off (under .2mA!) so the battery will last hundreds of hours. We usually run the BEANO BOOST directly into the input of your tube amp, with no buffers (i.e. tuners, or non-true bypass pedals) in the signal path. Most people have found they work best near the very beginning of your signal chain. Like the Fuzz Face, the Beano Boost MUST NOT have a buffered pedal in front of it. Something like a Boss pedal, even off, will make the Beano Boost sound VERY trebly and thin. more information »

2007 Other AnalogMan Maxon SD-9/Super, Brand New $165.00

SKU: GS20279
Like a TS-9 with more hair, they have a thicker, more saturated distortion sound great for leads or thick rhythm. Sound is best with the tone knob set fairly low. After our mod, you can turn up the tone knob and still get a great sound, without harshness or noise. The Maxon pedal has a TRUE BYPASS switch. Our new SD9/Super mod takes the fine sounding SD9 and makes it smoother, warmer, and clearer, while retaining all the gain and cool tones of the sonic distortion. It does not make it sound like a tube screamer. Also our mod kills any remnants of high frequency noise or oscillation if you crank the knobs. MID RANGE MOD. After our super mod the lows are a little better but it's still scooped in the mids. We can add a midrange trim pot internally ($15)on the Maxon SD9 board. It is marked at the stock value and we set and mark it at what we feel is a nice setting with a slight mid boost. I like best it with the tone knob down low with the mid at our marked setting, no more scooped 90's LA sound, just a nice classic rock distortion tone. The trim pot will not fit on the original Ibanez SD9 pedals. For either the Maxon or Ibanez sd9, we can add a small external MID pot under the volume or dist pot. The modform has the MIDRANGE mod available internally or externally, along with our super mod or standalone (if you already have the super mod). This is a $25 option on a new pedal. KWS MOD-designed for Kenny Wayne Shepherd:, I beef-up the mechanical attachments of the various components (pots, jacks, circuit board) to survive the abuse of tourning. Superbrite LEDs for $10 more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Boss MT2 with Pro Mod, Brand New $155.00

SKU: GS20273
The MT2/pro mod takes all the fakeness away, all that cocked-wah super-saturated big hair distortion. It leaves plenty of distortion available but you can hear the guitar's actual sound after the mod. On the stock pedal, if you sweep the mid range frequency knob it sounds like you are sweeping white noise. After the mod, it sounds like you are sweeping a parametric EQ or wah pedal. The mod is very expensive to do and includes a chip change so it is $70. Also it includes most of our silver mod parts from the tube screamer. The mod also reduces noise by 5dB with all knobs at 12:00. Add a power supply for $15 more information »

2007 Other Analog Man DOD mod YJM-308, Brand New $85.00

SKU: GS20263
Price reduced $10 in May 2007 We are now a dealer so passing on the savings to you. Link here for all the info on the 308: http://www.analogman.com/dodmod.htm SEE OPTIONS: The YJM308 from DOD, like the 250 Reissue is a great Overdrive Pedal, but many people still prefer or wish they could get their hands on an old GRAY DOD 250. Most desire these over the original 2nd version yellows, re-issues and the newest YJM308 Yngwie version. We can also do a vintage MXR distortion+ mod on these, with germanium diodes, etc like the original script logo MXR distortion+. This is $10 more than the Mojo mod. A true purist will desire to clone the old Gray 250 by putting a single 741 opamp in this circuit and re-routing the pins in the existing dual opamp pin layout so it will work. That is our MOJO mod. more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Mini BiComp, Brand New $245.00

SKU: GS20260
Features Mini Bicomp is exactly the same features as our pre-2003 BICOMP, just takes less real estate on your pedalboard. Same size as juicer or small comp. The only difference between the mini bicomp and the new 4 knob bicomp, is the ATTACK control is on the inside. Works on battery or 9V DC adaptor. We make the cases in-house for a cost savings. They are not all perfectly machine-drilled and silk screen labelled like the BICOMP, but have a hand-made appearance. The switches are a little closer together, makes it easy to switch from one compressor to the other by pressing both switches at the same time. Use the side of your foot to easily switch just one side. Add power supply for $15 more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Boss DD-6/Hicut Digital Delay Pedal, Brand New $198.00

SKU: GS20271
'04 Boss DD-6 Delay, reverse mode, tap tempo, warp mode, 5 seconds delay, IN STOCK, $155 The DD-6 does not need our reverse mod, as the BLEND control can get 100% delay with no non-delayed sound in reverse mode, unlike the DD-5. The DD-6 Digital Delay is the first BOSS delay pedal to offer true stereo delay and panning effects. The STEREO inputs allow sending both outputs of our STEREO CLONE CHORUS through the delay and keep the signal in true stereo! Features include built-in tap tempo capability and a delay/hold time of over 5 seconds (5,200ms). A new Reverse mode makes it easy to get trippy ‘60s and ‘70s-style effects, while the newly designed Warp mode creates radical delay effects on the fly. Inside it uses better quality components than the DD-5 so the sound and performance should be better. DD-6 draws about 50mA of power. Please use our new website BUYANALOGMAN.COM for ordering so you and we can easily keep track of the order status, tracking numbers, etc. We now have our HIGH CUT mod available for the DD-6 pedal. It is also available on the RV-3, DD-2, DD-3, and DD-5. The high cut only effects the ECHO sound, the DRY sound is still the same, nice and clear. It is a 3 position switch. The center setting is the original bright echo sound, one position is a medium high cut, and the other position a heavier cut. This makes the effect sound quite analog and you can distinguish the repeats from the original sound. This mod on the DD-6 sounds a little better than the same mod on the DD-5, very smooth. The high cut functions on OUTPUT A only, all repeats come out of output A except the super long delays where you have to use output B. We charge $55 for this mod if you send in a pedal, but to keep the price down we will offer a new pedal with the mod for only $43 extra.  more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Boss DS-1/Pro, Brand New $105.00

SKU: GS20267
Mid Range Modification: The DS-1 has quite a scooped midrange, especially stock. After our PRO mod the lows are better but but it's still scooped in the mids. In 2007 we came up with a mod to allow dialing in more mids for more of a classic tube amp sound. We can now add a small EXTERNAL MIDRANGE KNOB under the tone knob. This is a $25 option. Other AnalogMan Ibanez TS9DX/808/Classic Mod, Brand New $185.00

SKU: GS20275
I now offer brand new already modified TS9DX/808 pedals. The modified TS9DX will be the same as a TS-808 when you put it in the TS9 mode. In the other 3 modes the mods will help also, giving them a better, smoother sound. The four modes are described by Ibanez as : TS9 : The classic TS9, no modifications. + : Grittier than the original TS9. HOT : Crunchier tone with boosted mids, like a wall of 4 x 12s. TURBO : Powerful, bottom thick sound, like todays modern/alternative guitarists like. The SILVER option (Add $30) allows it to add the drive and warmth without EFFECTING your sound quite as much- it is more transparent, it does not sound like you are using an effect pedal as much. Add TS9DX Mode Mods: Normal Mode Mods $25 [Add $25.00] Clean Mode Mods $25 [Add $25.00] Add Superbright LED: Standard LED - $0; Green, Red, or Yellow: add $10 For everything you need to know about the Ibanez TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer visit: http://www.analogman.com/ts9dx.htm more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Boss DD-3 Digital Delay / hi cut mod, Brand New $178.00

SKU: GS20270
The Boss DD-3 is made with the same technology as the DD-2 which was the first compact stomp-box digital delay pedal. Introduced in 1982 using the same chip as the awesome rack mount SDE-3000, the DD-2 was very expensive. After a few years it was renamed DD-3 and lowered in price when the memory chips got cheaper. They are very warm and natural sounding for a digital pedal, as they use the same compressor/expandor chips as an analog delay, and redo the echoes each repeat unlike the newer pedals which just spit out the same bit samples for each echo with a sterile sound. Our HIGH CUT mod really makes this pedal sound great, as it cuts each repeat more and more, like an analog delay. See our delay mod page for more info. If you plug something into the DIRECT OUT on the DD3, the main output will be only the delayed signal. This can be very useful. If you don't need the features of the DD-6 (long delay time, stereo inputs, tap tempo, reverse mode) or if you want the ultimate warm tone with nearly one second of delay, the DD-3 with our high cut mod is the way to go. The price is excellent too. Please use our new website BUYANALOGMAN.COM for ordering so you and we can easily keep track of the order status, tracking numbers, etc.  more information »

2007 Other AnalogMan Ibanez TS-808 Reissue, Brand New $245.00

SKU: GS20276
The TS-808 has JRC4558D op amp and output resistors, so it sounds good, pretty close to our CLASSIC TS9/808 mod. We have 2 mods for these, the SILVER MOD (seen on the left) which will come out sounding just the same as our TS9/808/Silver, or the TRUE VINTAGE TS-808 mod, to add some MOJO. They are both $75 if you send in a pedal, or $245 for a new TS-808 reissue with the mods. What is the difference between the TV mod and Silver mod? The Silver Mod is designed for people who want more clarity, less compression and midrange than a standard tube screamer. The TV mod is the exact vintage TS808 circuit and sound, ultimate warmth and smoothness. But the differences between silver and TV are pretty subtle, if you have not played tube screamers much you probably will not hear a lot of difference. Just choose silver if you strive for clarity, or TV if you like vintage tones and warmth. You really can't go wrong with either choice. The TRUE VINTAGE mod is a fun mod, like putting original PAF's into a '59 reissue Les Paul (but a lot cheaper!!). To do this, we use a new Old Stock (NOS) actual early 1980s IC chip of the exact type used in an old TS-808. We normally use the famous JRC4558D chip or can use the rare TL4558P chip. Also important to this mod are the CLIPPING DIODES- we found some of the original blue striped TS-808 diodes and install them. These special diodes, along with the chip and capacitors, make the ultimate vintage TS-808 replica!! Not quite as clear as our SILVER MOD but the tone is true vintage TS-808, nice and WARM and smooth. Add a power supply for $15. Add a superbright LED (Green, Red, or Yellow) for an additional $10. more information »

2007 Other Analog Man Standard Clone Chorus, Brand New $225.00

SKU: GS20250
The Analog Man Chorus now has true bypass (since 2000), depth knob, and cool silk-screened, darker blue hammertone powder-coated cases for durability. Also using the highest quality circuit boards, double-sided to isolate the signal from any noise, and professionally soldered for perfect, reliable circuitry. These also have more shielding, less jumpers, and no volume drop when the pedal is switched ON. Still has the same awesome sounding circuit! Starting in July 2003, we are now having our own heavy duty cases made for the standard Chorus. They still look about the same but now only 2 short screws need to be removed for changing the battery. They were steel up to 5/04, then they were made from aluminum. This is more expensive for us but we like aluminum best for corrosion resistance and ease of machining. Starting in 2005, we use the ultimate - aluminum top (not too heavy, good machining properties) and steel bottom (bottom heavy balance, pedal feels the "right" weight in your hand). Add a Power Supply for $15 Add a Depth Toggle Switch for $25 For free, you may opt to have a Fixed Depth setting. Add Stereo option for $50. Add Chorus Wet/Dry Internal Mix Trimpot for $10. more information »
