Redesigned head based entirely on the Guitarist Gold Award winning C7. Extra features include two output tubes, 6CA7 and 6V6, user selectable for even greater tonal range. Unique Attack control simultaneously changes the tone and gain of the power tube and changes the way the speaker reacts. When at "0" the amp has maximum gain and volume, and at "10" it limits the power and gain but gives the amp a flatter frequency response along with more compression. Handmade and hand-wound in England. The perfect '59 tone, this is a fatter sounding pickup with increased lows, airy highs and a balanced midrange. The Alnico IV magnet provides increased power output with a wide dynamic range to drive the amp into a thick and sweet overdrive. The offset coil winding and heavily scatterwound plain enamel wire allow for plenty of complex harmonic overtones. The neck pickup is wound to match the bridge and voiced for a tone that is warm but never muddy with a clear attack and good note seperation. Handmade in England. The Cool Little Knob is a totally passive device which will expand the tonal possibilities of guitars fitted with humbucking pickups which can be coil tapped. It replaces the tone control with a push/pull rotary knob which gives a range of sounds from standard humbucker sounds to fully coil tapped. However, the great strength of the Cool Little Knob lies in the sounds obtainable between the two extremes. The unique filtration circuitry controls the way in which the two coils of the humbucker interact with each other, allowing the possibility of controlling the level of “grit†in the sound. This means that the top end can be cleaned up for a sweeter sound while retaining the bottom end richness of a humbucker which is usually lost when using a conventional coil tap. The bottom end growl of the bridge unit is reinforced by the 50's style copper plated steel bass plate. The high/low gain switch allows the Heartbreaker to produce a healthy signal boost with minimal distortion and maximum dynamics when set to the low gain position, and thickly saturated lead tones when set to the high gain position. The bass and treble controls can be used to shape the sound to your taste by producing a mid range scoop when both controls are set high and a mid range boost when both controls are set low and a whole range of tones between the two extreme settings. Handmade in England. The Hot Little Knob is a great way to get fatter, higher output sounds from a strat without resorting to battery powered electronic circuits which require heavily modifying (and often routing out) the guitar. The HLK is totally passive (no batteries required) and fits standard strats and strat clones without routing. It replaces the middle pickup tone control with a push-pull device which leaves the guitar exactly as standard with the knob in the down position (with an unchanged appearance, too) but gives a range of new sounds with the knob in the up position. The new sounds are based on a series combination of the middle and bridge pickups, but with special filtering to control the way in which the two pickups interact. With the Hot Little Knob activated the five way selector switch is still operational but gives access to bigger, fatter and higher output sounds which are better able to drive amps into distortion.
