Hartman Vintage Germanium Fuzz Pedal
A very musical sounding and faithful clone of the original Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face circuit using pairs of NOS ("new old-stock") PNP Germanium transistors carefully selected and paired for optimal texture, sensitivity and tone. Modern amenities include Level (Input Trim) control, true-bypass, on/off LED, and 9VDC-in jack.
In addition to the same Volume and Fuzz controls as the original, the Hartman Fuzz Level control helps to attenuate the strength of the input signal, enabling the fuzz to work with slightly hotter and higher-output pickups. Likewise, this control can be removed from the signal path by turning it to its far clockwise position, allowing the pedal to function in "stock" configuration.
Transistor pairs are selected from a range of old stock Germanium (including but not limited to: OC77, OC84, NKT271, AC128, NKT275, CV7007). We voice each Hartman Fuzz using NOS Germanium transistor-pairs selected for optimal leakage, gain, and reactance. We also audition their subjective attributes: clean-up, texture, and harmonic content with a real guitar in a human being's hands. Requirements for optimizing differ slightly between the two transistor slots in the pedal so transistor pairs are most often of mixed type.
Hand-wired, rugged construction, and thoroughly auditioned prior to shipping. Gain-select transistor pairing delivers sustain, smooth sexy decay, cleanup at the flick of your guitar volume, and the instantly recognizable yet indescribable tonal coloration of Germanium.

This has to be, by far, the best damn tube preamp sounding, solid state overdrive pedal ever created. Smooth, tight and responsive are words that come to mind. This is not another "Screamer" clone. This pedal will basically add another channel to your amp with all the features such as a classic tone 'stack' configuration for shaping your sound. It is able to sound like a barely broken up blues tone or with the twist of a few knobs, it will rip your head off with searing, scooped mids heavy metal. This is one pedal that has a range that is actually usable, throughout. I have designed it that way. The bass is never farty. Performing a 'dive bomb' will not make it choke. This overdrive is very touch sensitive and the Gain has been shaped to work with the guitars volume control to allow the player to adjust the amount of overdrive right from the guitar.
This aint your fathers 808 the Precision Overdrive has been engineered to have almost twice the gain of most standard overdrive pedals. The Precision Overdrive walks the fine line between being an overdrive and distortion pedal. With the Gain control set at 3 Oclock and beyond the pedal has enough saturation to compete with many distortion pedals while still maintaining the touch sensitivity that many guitar players demand.
In contrast, the Precision Overdrive can be used as a great boost pedal.
