Greg's guitars offers this exceptional 2010 Fender? Custom Shop Deluxe Telecaster?. After the photo shoot we spent some quality time together (one of the perks) and I must say this Telecaster? plays and sounds incredible, just the right amount of spank and with a slight twist of the tone or volume control the juice kicks in. Clean or gained she opens up really well for those finger picking hot country licks or rock riffs ala Jimmy Page,Keith Richards and Jeff Beck. I Just love the nitro violin burst Ash body and subtle flamed and Birdseye Maple neck with hand select Indian Rosewood board. Comes with the original custom shop case , custom shop vintage reissue leather strap, Schaller strap locks,COA and paperwork. Very small almost unnoticeable nicks on the back edge of the lower bout are this guitars only flaws. Nitro finish unlike the 2011 models which are now urethane finished. Fender Custom Shop description/specs- The Custom Deluxe Telecaster? comes in premium ash. With Its lightly flamed smaller 1952 "U"-shaped "A" maple neck has a 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, a bone nut and hand-selected Indian rosewood fingerboard. Other features include a Custom Shop Twisted Tele? single-coil neck pickup and Custom Shop Hot Nocaster? single-coil bridge pickup; three-way switching, custom chromeplated bridge plate with plated solid brass saddles, Schaller? tuners, three-ply mint green pickguard, modern headstock decal, "R" serial number neck plate more information »

Greg's Guitars offers a vintage rare collectible solid body 1968 small headstock Gibson Les Paul Standard. How rare you ask? well consider only 1224 were shipped by Gibson and divide that by just the U.S. population of 311,904,000 and that works pretty close to ONE guitar for every quarter of a million people and that is just in the U.S.!!! I think that qualifies this as a rare guitar in my book. Now on to this beauty.
As stated it is a vintage 1968 small headstock Les Paul Standard, the guitar was originally a goldtop and was sent to "The Apprentice shop" and given a going over by non other than Mike Lennon. The P 90 pickups were weak so the routes were filled with hard rock maple and then re routed for humbuckers without any damage or routing to the long tenon joint on the guitar. The finish was pretty ratty so Mike reapplied a "bullion gold" finish ( at the same time he was applying this finish to Tom Keifers guitar of Cinderella ).
and the beefy chunk of a neck was given one of the most supple soft "V" profiles I have ever held in my hands. So faint and perfect is this neck that it is unnoticeable until you start to play her and just are blown away at the ease in which the hand glides over the back of the neck. The vintage Dimarzio humbuckers (Think Randy Rhodes and Tom Shulz) kick butt !!! The rhythm pickup was custom rewound by Seymour at his Santa Barbara facility by Seymour Duncan himself and the accurate (period correct ) wiring with replaced pots was done as well. She weighs in at 9.4lbs and sings like the fat lady at the end of the show. So if your looking for that ONE vintage Les Paul that is pretty rare, a killer player and will not break the bank or have mama give you your walking papers then this guitar may be for you. Not much more than a current "reissue" Les Paul cost wise ,but a hell of a lot more guitar !! No excuses, just the facts, that's Greg's Guitars.Rock on !!! more information »

Yes very few words capture" vintage collectible acoustic guitar" like a well seasoned wonderfully toned vintage pre war Gibson acoustic guitar. Anyone who thinks the "reissues' are even comparatively close are outa their minds .Here in all her glory for your enjoyment is a 1938 Vintage Gibson L-OO acoustic sunburst acoustic with original case,Brazilian board, Honduran Mahogany back and sides, original stripe pick guard,V neck, two repaired back cracks in the 70's by Gruhns, original tuners and original nut.Yes a very desirable and sweet guitar. No need to purchase a reproduction or over touted over hyped custom shop guitar when the real deal is at your fingertips at Greg's Guitars. My family rarely even bats an eye when I bring in another guitar but when I started playing this girl ,well ....all heads turned my way and in unison they all said" that is one beautiful sounding guitar ." That in itself speaks volumes in a house where everyone but me thinks that every guitar is just another guitar. ORIGINAL HARD CASE INCLUDED, NOT a Hawaiian conversion, more information »

Great sounding Vintage Collectible 1957 Gibson J 45 for sale at Greg's Guitars. Good wood, period. This is another vintage Gibson J 45 that is not in mint museum quality condition, why ? Hell it sounds to good, and look at that fretboard will ya ! That has got to be one of the prettiest Brazilian rosewood slabs I have ever seen on a guitars fretboard. I professionally repaired back crack as well as the ever present repaired front E string /pick guard shrinkage crack, Bone nut and compensated saddle for increased intonation , this old Gibson has what we all look for tone wise. I feel lucky as I have several old Gibson's that would make most players wet their pants to find just one, come on in and get you some good wood. She comes with the crappy chip board case that was sold during this era.The Grover tuners that are on her are older replacement tuners and the holes were not drilled out, pictures to prove it if requested. more information »
