The Godin ACS has quickly become the acoustic / electric guitar of choice for the discerning fingerstyle player and composer. It's similar to the famed Gibson SST but superior in many ways. It's lighter, plays better, sounds better, and has built in access to guitar synth devices. The sound of the ACS works well in many different music styles and the guitar plays extremely well. The top on an ACS is a bit thicker then its Multiac Nylon counterpart. This gives the ACS a much more fundamental tone without excessive overtones, resulting in a sound that's very clean and true with a great percussive nature. This is the newest version with a cedar top that give the guitar a slightly melllower tone and a great look. Also this is the ""Slim"" version of the ACS which means it has a slighty narrower nut width then the standard ACS. Here for sale is the new Gretsch Electromatic Hollow Body model G5422TDC. The Gretsch Electromatic hollowbody guitars are some of the most popular on the market due to their tremendous tone and playability with a modest prices.The G5422TDC shares many specs with its vintage predecessors. It's a full hollow body arch top with a floating bridge design and parallel bar bracing with a sound post. The sound post adds stability to the structure and increases sustain while allowing the guitar to retain the essential hollow body sound. The neck angle is just right allowing the guitar to be set up with perfect action all along its 22 frets. The new ""Black Top"" Filter Tron pickups are excellent with full bodied tone and a warm vintage character. The bridge pickup is bright and just a bit ""twangy"" with a well defined mid range and responds very well some overdrive. The neck pickup is mellow and springy with a more ""scooped"" tonal character and sounds great when played clean. These pickups are a big improvement over the old square ""Gretsch-buckers"".
