With exclusive "brushstroke" bird inlays and two narrow 408 pickups, this guitar is not only unique...it's the guitar that Paul Reed Smith has been playing in his studio and on the stage. Carrying on the Modern Eagle tradition, Paul's Guitar is essentially a production version of his Private Stock guitar. Paul specified every appointment of this instrument from the wood selection, inlay design, pickups, neck shape, a new proprietary finish, and newly designed stoptail bridge. "We're experimenting with a new stoptail bridge with brass inserts that will first be seen on this model. The bridge is still our aluminum bridge but at the point at which the string starts vibrating it's brass to promote the musical high range of the guitar," said Paul.

The narrowfield PRS 25th Anniversary Swamp Ash Electric Guitar is all about versatility.
The Swamp Ash Special is equipped with a solid swamp ash body, a bolt-on maple neck, a narrowfield pickup in the middle position, and a 5-way blade switch to offer a multitude of new single-coil sounds.
PRS narrowfield pickups focus the string attack much like a single-coil but in addition they are hum canceling. The result is a new-sounding pickup system which blends features of single-coil, soapbar, and humbucking pickups.
Additionally, the 25th Anniversary Swamp Ash Special guitar is enhanced with PRS shadow bird inlays, an anniversary headstock eagle, and a maple fretboard.

The Custom 24 is the original PRS, the guitar Paul Reed Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985. A perennial favorite with musicians, this model features your choice of a Pattern Thin or Pattern Regular mahogany neck with a rosewood neck option and your choice of 5708 or HFS treble and Vintage bass pickups wired for our redesigned 5-way blade switch, which offers a dual humbucker option for the first time.
HFS treble and Vintage bass pickups were first offered in the 1990's and helped to define the sound of the time by providing a balance of aggressive, musical, clear highs and strong midrange and bass. In 2008, PRS introduced 5708 pickups, which were designed to capture a vintage '50's humbucking tone.
