1964 Other Grammer Guitar Original, Very Good $3,800.00

SKU: Grmr099
The bridge, fretboard, pickguard are all original to this guitar. several braces were loose and are being re glued as I write this up. The guitar has binding along the neck, Most every Grammer that was made for retail consumption never had binding on the neck , Billy Grammer himself told me this, with the exception of a "Custom Order" , so this was either custom ordered with binding or when this guitar was possibly refretted the binding was added then. This is one area that we will never know for sure as all the R.G?. and G?. factory order information as well as every other record were all destroyed in a fire. The guitar has had a neck set and material was taken from the neck heel area at the body joint. The guitar retains its original finish but has been over sprayed very lightly over the entire guitar and buffed to a magnificent shine as you see now, with all checking still observable beneath. One of the rarest Grammer guitars I know of and a booming, great playing guitar with original hard case. more information »

1974 Mosrite Custom made double neck, Excellent $12,500.00

SKU: 1234
1974 Mosrite double neck electric guitar for sale at Greg's Guitars. Semie was years ahead of his time in some aspects. From his futuristic "Strawberry Alarm Clock" guitars ,fast necks and metal nuts to the first commercially available electric double neck guitar.Never one to shy away from his passion of building guitars even when his company was floundering Semie was a true "get it done " type of man. Non assembly line custom made Mosrite double neck guitar. Built for a friend by Semie as he was closing down the P street factory in Bakersfield, Ca. Many parts and oddities exist on this guitar as a combination of customer needs and from what was available to Semie at the time.Three items on this guitar are unoriginal as to the day Semie presented it to my client. 1- The strings. 2- three pickup mounting screws. 3- Semie replaced the original Vibramute tail piece in a visit to his home in 1989 with a non vibrato tailpiece. Semie noticed no handle on the Vibrato and asked as to why. The response was it was never used . Semie being Semie went to another room in his home where he was assembling guitars reached into a box and said "here is a non trem tailpiece ,I need that one ,lets swap" pure Semie. The original Humbuckers you see were hand wound by Semie himself and yes there are two different types of tuning keys and two different color headstocks, Semie's explanation " he had to shoot it to bring it to the owner that day. " One other item , yes there was and still is the note from Semie in the guitar. Naysayers will exist, like I have stated this is NOT a normal off the line guitar, this guitar was all hand made by Semie for my client and that's that more information »

1988 Other Mac Mcormick custom made, Excellent $2,600.00

SKU: MM1
Where to even begin with this custom made guitar from an extremely talented but now deceased luthier, Mac McCormick .Mac worked in various shops and states finally settling down in Birmingham Alabama. This guitar made in 1988 by Mac is a departure from his acoustic and archtop custom guitars that he was known for .An original concept guitar that displays all the attributes from the heydays of the 1980 big hair pointy guitar days we all know and remember. Extremely comfortable in both standing position strapped on or seated due to the very nicely done carved body, notice even the detail at the heel joints for ease in fretting. Stratocaster? styled electronics and pickup configuration of 5 way switch and three single coil pickups with the Kahler locking dive bomber tremelo and tremelo arm with fine tuning adjustments that were popular in the day as well as locking string tree. The fretboard has unique mother of pearl inlays. Sporting a beautifully sculpted flamed neck that any custom shop guitar would be jealous of. The body appears to be constructed from a one piece mahogany slab weighing in at just under 8 lbs.Readings from the pups being N-6.0,M-5.8 and B-5.94 with a scale of 24 and 3/4 with 22 medium frets. The tribal graphics and custom paint was done by a Mr. John Watts who if memory serves me right was a budding tattoo artist who has since set up shop on the west coast.Complete with a custom made case and engraved neckplate stating build date, builder and painter as well as the location the guitar was made. Bridge pickup was replaced (still in the case) at some point. So if your looking for unique and rare collectible guitars ,you have found the right place, Greg's Guitars Atlanta. Thanks for looking. more information »
