Echoplex Mega Plex Vintage Tape Echo 8 Channel Mixer Three Head One Off Machine Les Paul?
This is a one of a kind (I have never seen another and neither has anyone else that I have consulted) custom built Echoplex tape delay unit solid state. I am guessing it was made in the late 1960?s. It features three heads with two that slide for different delays. This unit also features an eight channel mixer with XLR and 1/4" input jacks, five band graphic EQ, Treble, bass controls on each channel and a three way rotary switch that chooses between each head or a combination of both! The story that goes with this unit is that Echoplex custom built this for Les Paul. I do not have any documentation to back that up but that is the story that goes with it. Any information on this unit is welcome please email me. The unit works but the echo is faint. It is going to need at the very least a new tape but most likely a good servicing by a good tech to bring it back to it?s glory. More pictures available. Own a one of a kind Echoplex! 949-307-4675.
