1981 Yamaha SA2200 Gibson ES335 copy, Good Call For Price

SKU: GS3084292
SOLD!! The 1981 Yamaha SA-2000 was the top of the line Gibson 335 style guitar by Yamaha during the Japanese vintage guitar lawsuit era. The SA stands for SuperAxe. There are holes on the front of the guitar where someone had dip switches at one point. It does not affect the sound or playability. The guitar has been refretted, and there is very little wear on the new frets. The tuners were replaced. The wiring has been upgraded, it has a Tonepros bridge installed, the pickups were replaced with Gibson 57 Classics, and it has a new Gibson 335 case. The upgrades/refretting alone were around $600. This guitar would be close to $2,000 if in mint condition, so its very affordable for people who want the best possible 335 semi-hollow body guitar without breaking the bank. I sold my Gibson 335s once I played this guitar. It sounds killer. more information »

1981 Other Burny Super Grade RLG150, Good Call For Price

SKU: GS3084297
SOLD! 1981/2 Burny Supergrade RLG 150 lawsuit era Les Paul. Burnys are very high quality Les Pauls. This one has a birds-eye maple top, something I?ve only seen once before. It has a nitro finish, and fret edge binding. These are features you will only find on custom shop Les Pauls at more than double the price. The pickups scream! It has some play wear ? there are dings and scratches, and the frets have some wear as well. (You don?t need to pay someone $2000 to age the guitar for you, its already been aged). The 30+ year old top (looks to be a solid top) makes it sing and sustain. After doing much research on the web and in forums, last year Burny expert Jacco was kind enough to identify it as a Burny RLG150. He said the pot codes date to 1981, making it one of the earliest 82 Burny SuperGrade RLG150s.  more information »

1982 Fender JV ST57-115 Stratocaster, Excellent $3,200.00

SKU: GS3084294
SUPER RARE 1982 Fender JV ST 57-115 Stratocaster. This guitar was from the peak of the lawsuit era Fender guitars. The neck date reads 8/19/82. Note this is not the Squire JV, this is the top of the line Fender JV from that time period, modeled after the 1957 Strat. The Fender JV ST57 115 is the flagship vintage Fender JV guitar. This one is a first issue JV strat, meaning its the most collectible and sought-after. She?s in magnificent condition, has an alder body and nitrocellulose (nitro) lacquer finish. Only the top of the line ST 115 models used original USA Fender parts: Sprague orange cap, CTS pots, steel tremelo block, Fender USA made alnico pickups, 3 way CRL switch, electronics, hardware, and pick-guard, maple neck, aged plastic pickup covers, knobs, switch tip. Many consider this guitar to be the best strat ever made (and closest to the vintage specs). You could not buy a better Strat then, and many collectors say even today.
