Here is another example of a Breedlove Master Class Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar. This Pacific Model is a shallow body, soft cutaway, grand Concert design with a Sitka Spruce top and some exceptional Flamed Maple on the back and sides. It comes with a Solid Maple neck and Gold Gotoh tuners.
The Flamed Maple is off set with Master Class Flamed Koa Bindings and Abalone Top Purfling and Rosette. The exceptional Flamed Koa Bindings extend around the top, back, neck, and healcap and are a high light of this instrument. The fretboard is Ebony with Sea Leaves Inlay. The tone of the instrument is bright, crisp, and clear as you would expect with this wood combination.
The Solid Maple neck is fast and easy to play. This guitar reminds me a lot of my favorite Breedlove C1 Model only dressed up a bit. This is an instrument that you will never tire of looking at and, as phenomenal sounding as it is now, will only get richer as it ages. This is a Fusion Special Edition, the only Breedlove Performnce Series that comes standard with a sharp cutaway. It is based on the SC25 design giving it a deep concert body in Mahogany. It has a Sitka top with Black bindings and Black/White/Black top purfling and an Abalone Rosette.
The neck is Mahogany with an Ebony fret board and Focus Inlay and Chrome Gotoh tuners. As with all Performance Series instruments this guitar comes stadard with an LR Baggs Dual Element pickup system. In addition the SE model adds an M1 Magnetic sound-hole pickup with the Active Element piezo pickup and routes the signal through an I-Mix onboard preamp. The Crush 10 is a single channel 10w solid-state combo amp, with three seperate equalization controls, (low, mid, high), a master volume control, and two seperate gain controls. It also has a headphone output jack, which mutes the speaker when the headphones are plugged in. I bought this little amp mainly for practicing, and for that duty, it is very well suited. I suppose you could mike it if you really liked the sound that much, but for me, it is just an "office" unit - I got sick of hauling my big amp upstairs just to monkey around on the guitar a bit. The amp's sound controls are easy to figure out and easy to adjust. The esthetics of the unit are hard to resist - cool orange case, vintage style grill ccovering, Orange medallion. Best part of all is the amp lives up to its legendary heritage. The sounds you can procure from this little rig are downright amazing. When I started playing I had a Peavey Decade 10 practice amp, which compared to this Orange amp, sounded like a cheesy AM transisto radio. My, things have certianly come a long way. This is a Breedlove Atlas Series guitar with a deep Dreadnought body and soft cutaway. It comes with a Sitka Spruce top and great Flamed Maple body with a Sunburst finish. It has Abalone top purfling and rosette that rally stands out with the Sunburst edges. The neck is Mahogany with a satin finish and Rosewood fret board with Diamond Inlay for postion markers.
The headstock is covered in Rosewood and is equipped with Gold Grover tuners. The Flamed Maple really shows through the Sunburst finish on the back. This is a Breedlove "S" Series Auditorium design with a shallow body and soft cutaway. The Auditorium body is more Bell shaped, larger at the bottom and narrower at the top. With the soft cutaway this one resembles a classic jazz instrument from the past in many ways. It has a strong bass tone and good volume indicative of this design.
This guitar was upgraded with a beautiful Myrtlewood body and sides with alternating dark and light grains. It has a thin Mother of Pearl rosette. The fretboard is Ebony with a series of offset dots.
