Vintage S S Stewart 4 String Banjo with New TKL Hardshell Case. Nice early 20th century instrument was distributed by Buegeleisen & Jacobson and most likely made by Slingerland. We were not able to find any model or serial number anywhere on the instrument. Banjo is in great shape for it’s age while showing scrapes and scratches from age and use, mainly on the back. Mahogany back sides and neck with rosewood fingerboard. Nice “tortoise shell” binding and hand rest. Grover tuning machines. Neck is straight and frets are in good shape with some indentations from the strings. Headstock laminate is lifting slightly at the top. Elton tailpiece is most likely not original. more information »
