Gibson SG Pro, circa 1971. Serial # 628245. Amazing tone, plays great. Just professionally set up. All original. P-90's. Bigsby like vibrato. Gibson only made these for 3 years, so they are exceedingly rare. This is a killer axe! Gibson hardshell case included. It is missing the pickguard, and the 3 tiny screwholes are visible where it was attached. It's also missing one of the pick up covers (see pix) and a couple of screws for the other pick up cover and there is a crack in the plastic top of the pick up with the cover missing, which doesn't affect sound at all. With the pick up cover off, it's easy to see the massive amount of copper wound on these pick ups, which ain't done no more, and explains why this guitar can eat any modern SG for breakfast! Nothing more needs to be said about the tone you get from SG's! That's why they were used by Clapton (in Cream), Jerry Garcia, Santana, Robbie Krieger (Doors), Derek Trucks, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Todd Rundgren, Tommy Iommi (Black Sabbath), John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, and so many others. Seriously, this guitar screams. If you want an axe that's gonna cut through everything else on stage, you've found it! more information »

This Peavey Sensation 20 is a prototype formerly owned by Earl Slick, David Bowies main guitar player for many years (see pic where it says prototype right on the amp). Earl has also recorded with John Lennon (on Double Fantasy), Ian Hunter, John Waite, Leo Sayer, and many others. He replaced Brian Setzer in The Stray Cats when The Cats self destructed to form Phantom, Rocker, and Slick with Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker. The amp comes with a signed letter of authenticity from Earl and an autographed photo of Earl with the amp (see pix).
The stock Peavey Sensation is a 20-watt amplifier and employs three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 cathode-biased output tubes. Earl had this prototype hot rodded to 40 watts, so it kicks butt even better than the stock version, which kicks butt pretty good (see online reviews). The Sensations standard front-panel controls include pre gain, treble, middle, bass and post (master volume). The rear panel consist of dual speaker outputs with an impedance selector. Effects Send and Return jacks are included optional equipment
Hand-wired in the USA at the Peavey 19th Street Custom Shop

Sounds like a brownface deluxe and an AC30 had a baby on steroids. Sharp cleans, nice grit, strong definition. It smokes everything else out there.

For sale is an original Veleno guitar, #135 out of 195 total production run. Veleno guitars were made in the 1970's by aerospace engineer, John Veleno, completely out of aluminum. The neck was made out of Almat35 aluminum, used for jet aircraft production. The first guitar he made was a personal player for himself, but he soon made another, and brought it to a T. Rex show in Tampa, where Marc Bolan immediately bought it and ordered 2 more. Subsequent purchasers of Veleno guitars included Eric Clapton, Gregg Allman (Greggs response on first seeing the Veleno was, Wow! A motorcycle in a guitar case!), Lou Reed, Johnny Winter, Ace Frehley, Todd Rundgren, Mark Farner, Jeff Lynne, Mick Mars, Robbie Krieger, Alvin Lee, Martin Barre, Jorge Santana, David Robinson of The Cars (see the Panorama album cover for a photo of his),Johnny Depp, Vincent Gallo, Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson, Lonesome Dave of Foghot, and many more. Veleno guitars have the highest percentage of celebrity bought and paid for owners, by far, of any guitar ever made. No guitars were given away. All were purchased by their owners. Veleno necks are guaranteed never to warp. Rather than list all the specs for these amazing instruments, go to www.veleno.net, www.guitarship.org/aluminum_guitars/?veleno, wikipedia, or Google Veleno guitars for more information on these extremely rare guitars.
John Veleno suffered a stroke shortly after he made guitar #195 and production ceased. They were out of production for years. Johns son recently started making them again. These re-issues sell for $10,000.
This guitar has tone and power like youve never heard. Theyre like Les Pauls on steroids, not to mention being the coolest looking axes on the planet, but due to the aluminum construction they can be made to sound like any guitar ever made. The red stone inlaid in the headstock is a corundum ruby. Email or call for more info. Space is limited for descriptions on this website. more information »

This gorgeous 1917 Gibson Model A mandolin is better than mint. Its a creampuff. It looks like it came out of the showroom yesterday. Now having said that, this is not a museum piece and its not all original. The pick guard, tailpiece, tuners, bridge, and neck have all been changed and it may have even been refinished. Everything was done so professionally that I believe it was probably done by Gibson, sometime in the 1950's. I date the changes in the 1950s because the Gibson logo on the tailpiece looks like the 1950s logo. The pick guard is screwed in to a mounting brace, not glued on the way they were in 1917. The tailpiece is not floral engraved like they were in 1917. The tuners are closed, not open. The bridge is adjustable, not fixed. And the neck has a truss rod, which Gibson didn't start using until the 1920's. The finish is so glossy and perfect that, with all the other changes, I suspect it may have also been refinished by Gibson. The finish is the beautiful original pumpkin that these mandos came with in the early part of the 20th century. The hard shell case does seem to be original. Its in pretty good shape, but does have a small rip or two in the tolex (see pics). The handle of the case has also had the leather stripped away, but the rest is intact. Don't get thrown off by the fact that there is no Gibson logo on the headstock. Thats how they came in 1917. This is a player's instrument. It sounds incredible, and most of the changes actually make it a better instrument. Serial # is 38263. more information »

Supercool old 4 pickup Bradford in beautiful condition. What were at the time cheap Japanese guitars, are becoming very collectible and hard to find in this condition. Cheap gear from the 50's and 60's is better than so-called good, modern stuff. Jack White would love this guitar! more information »

1966 Martin, Style 51, baritone ukulele. Mahogany body, double bound top and back, w/OHSC. Includes 2nd set of high quality tuners that are better than the Martin originals. These tuners will not be on the uke when shipped, as it will not fit in the case with them on, as they stick out to the side, like guitar tuners. However, they are on in the pictures. The instrument will be shipped with original tuners. If you want better tuners than the cheap ones Martin used on this instrument, I suggest getting a set of banjo tuners that will protrude backwards, and then the uke will fit in the case. Martin also recommended contacting Stewart McDonald for high quality tuners. Martin only made one baritone uke, and only for one year, and this is it. Its been immaculately kept and is in near-mint to mint condition. All original. Plays and sounds beautiful. Ill include a brand new set of Black Diamond strings with the uke. more information »
