She comes complete with the Gibson Historic Hardshell case, COA, hang tags, CTS pots and Burstbucker pickups times 2, the closest yet to the original PAFs! She IS a 1957 Les Paul, FAT AND POWERFUL and LIGHTWEIGHT, TOO! Weighing in at 8.9 lbs. SHE IS SUPER RESONATE, LIGHT ON YOUR BACK AND A TRUE BEAUTY WITH A SOLID DARK MAHOGANY BACK AND NECK, a carved maple top, a classy Gold finish, every detail just as it was in the '50s. She has a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard based on a 12" radius with a 24 3/4" scale length, and a nut width of 11 1/16". Neck inlays copy the original trapezoid design, and binding on the neck is narrow - as it was in the '50s. She has the Holly Head Veneer, Non-Weight Relieved Body and EXTRA LONG NECK TENON, combined with the separate bridge/tailpiece ABR-1 stop tailpiece and Burstbucker pickups which yields better sustain and quieter yet more powerful tone. Handcrafted in June of 2007, to the exact specs of the legendary original 1960 Strat, including body contours and radii, neck shape, fingerboard and radius, pickups, and electronics, using original materials, tooling, and production techniques whenever possible. She has a custom contoured alder body and and a sweet Sunburst finish, hand Relic-d to look exactly like a 1960 Stratocaster would look and feel today, worn, played and loved! She has a dark 21-fret rosewood ´slab´ fingerboard, the Custom Shop logo stamped on the back of the headstock, an aged mint green pickguard, nickel hardware and 3 Custom original spec ´60s single coil, STAGGERED POLE pickups, that really HONK...renowned for their accuracy and sound. Mr. Natural, ROCKS! This time capsule piece will take you back. The big headstock, three-bolt neck plate, bullet truss rod and classic "F" tuners all mark the times as well as the attitude of the Rock'n Roll years! ALL ORIGINAL, RARE and BEAUTIFUL with a Premium ASH body, NATURAL finish and a Maple BOARD. Nearly 30 years vintage, this has got to be the find of the century, NEAR MINT condition, complete with the OHSC and the original 3 way switch, 3 ply black white black pickguard and original matching black on black 3 single coil GREY BOBBIN pickups, black pickup covers, black knobs and matching black tremolo arm and switch tip. The serial number S7 91809 on the headstock dates to 1977 with matching serial number on the back of the pickguard. The CTS pots read 13777xx which also date to 1977.
She weighs in at 8.3 lbs. seasoned to perfection and a rock monster with killer tone and resonance. She screams Hendrix/SRV with great harmonics and overtones, powerful, punchy and sweet too! She's got the high end fidelity to really scream, bite, soar and articulate - with great harmonics and overtones. The D-18V is the "creme de la creme." All the looks and the classic tone that has elevated the CF Martin name over the decades show through in this fine guitar. The tone is deep, rich and beautifully balanced. It's that sweet warm full bodied BIG FAT TONE of Elvis in the early years. If you are a connoisseur of guitars and you demand the very best, you owe it to yourself to play the D-18V.
The D-18V features solid genuine mahogany construction in the back, sides, and neck, and a solid Sitka spruce top. The soft V profile is great for getting good leverage around the upper neck and it gradually rounds out a bit towards the 12th to 14th frets. The fingerboard and bridge are both made from solid ebony. More timeless appointments include old style dot inlays, bone nut and saddle, nickel Gotoh tuners with butterbean knobs, and intricate binding designs. The entire instrument is finished in a special varnish for an "aged" look, and sports the old style CF Martin logo on the headstock.
The big difference between a standard D-18 and the D-18V is that Martin's famous "X-bracing" has been shifted 0.5 inch closer to the sound hole. The result is that a larger area of the top vibrates in response to string movements. A larger vibrating area means that the D-18V has the potential to play louder and with more bass.

She's ALL ORIGINAL, including the original 3 way switch. The neck date on this guitar is 2OCT62B signifying the date, October 1962. The number "2" to signify a Stratocaster neck and the "B" signifies a 1 5/8" nut width. "B" is the normal neck width with "A" being the narrowest, and "C" being wider. Headstock logo decal has three patent numbers. The serial number, 87500 is located on the back metal neck plate and the pot codes read 304 62 42 and 304 62 32, signifying the 42 and 32 week of 1962. Body date 10/62. Black Bottom pickups with no marking...as it should be for 1962. Also, has the waxed cloth pickup wires with black for ground and white for hot lead, period correct for 1962. It's finish exhibits the wonderful, natural wear associated with years and years of use. She still has the original frets and they are in great shape! Comes with the Fender Hardshell Case pictured. You'll notice in the photos that the tip of the pickguard that broke off was replaced, no big deal. What is a big deal is the magic of the legendary 1962 Stratocaster and the love, the blood, sweat and tears of the players who created the legend. This guitar is one lean mean TONE MACHINE! Weighing in at 7.3 lbs, she's light and resonate! But man, plug this baby in, and WOW! The tone of this guitar is FAT, WARM AND FULL. The ABR-1 was added to the Les Paul Model in 1956 with individual saddles to adjust each string's length as well as thumbwheels to adjust the overall height of the bridge. This represented a quantum leap forward in intonation and a marked improvement in tone and sustain. Now with 2 HONKIN' P-90 single coil pickups, a carved Maple top, single-ply cream binding, a rounded neck with a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard, vintage tulip tuners and a ANTIQUE GOLD FINISH, you've got a guitar that's bursting out to please.

The three-bolt neck plate, bullet truss rod and classic "F" tuners all mark the times as well as the attitude of the Rock'n Roll years. And, along with a BIG headstock comes a BIG helping of that 70's MOJO MAGIC! She's ALL ORIGINAL, in better than EXCELLENT CONDITION and comes complete with original HSC. Upgraded 5 way switch, a pro refret and one changed pot, however the original is included. Original pot codes read 1377412, 1377412 and 1377430. The serial number is 568134 and the neck date (09013744) all positively date to 1974, as does the matching original 3 single coil gray bottom pickups with staggered poles, Fender F tuners, 3-ply white-black-white guard. The beautiful Sunburst finish has some really cool checking on the front and back of the body and only a couple a nicks that keep the guitar from being mint. She's looks like a "closet classic" only of the vintage nature... Looks like a time capsule piece and plays like butter with incredible sustain, but not at the expense of the clarity of tone. She's got plenty of twang and the power of a cannon! The action is light, intonation is perfect and the frets are fat, great for bends.
