Is there a lighter weight Alembic guitar with all the look, feel, and tone of the bigger models? The short answer is "yes."
The slightly longer answer is that the Little Darling guitar may be small, but that only adds to its charms. The sound is anything but tiny. Thanks to neck through construction, lasting sustain is in your future. Rich low end response and crystalline highs are also a credit to the neck construction.
The body is carved with tummy and elbow contours for an incredibly comfortable fit. The elbow carving also exposes the layers of accent laminates under the top. We think the Heart Omega carving at the bottom of the body makes it all the more "darling."
Electronics include a volume and filter for each pickup. Pickup selection is logical with an off/on/bright switch for each pickup. The amount of brightness in the "bright" setting can be adjusted to your personal preferences with a screwdriver-adjusted trimpot in the electronics cavity. Get ready to rethink your effector units and EQ settings, because this guitar is coming at you clean and clear, and it prefers to start things out with flat settings on the rest of your signal chain. The output jack is side-mounted and features welded palladium contacts for durability.
This Lil' Darling has a 3 part Cherry Sunburst Finish, Golden Mother of Pearl Oval Inlays, and Side LEDs.

The Ibanez 2670RE is an extremely limited edition recreation from the '70s, the era referred to by vintage Ibanez collectors as the "Golden Age of Ibanez." The 2670RE "Artwood Twin" is a double-necked electric guitar, featuring a 6-string and a 12-string.
"It's an historic instrument and its reissue will also be historic: the 2670 will be the most expensive Ibanez guitar in our history," said Paul Specht of Ibanez. "But considering the level of handcraftsmanship, and the fact that there will only be 45 worldwide, that price is really quite reasonable."
Continued Specht, "The Artwood Twin double neck is what many people from the ibanezcollectors.com website—which as a matter of fact uses the 2670 as a part of their logo— told us they wanted to see next after last year's very successful Bob Weir limited edition model."
Like the 2005 Bob Weir Model Handcrafted Reissue, the 2006 Artwood Twin is made in a small Japanese shop staffed by luthiers that made the original Ibanez models. Unlike the Bob Weir model, which had to be recreated without the original blueprints since those had been lost, the 2670 was recreated using all of the original blueprints and specifications. Only one specification has been changed: the original Super 70 pickups have been replaced with Super 58 pickups which feature a sandblasted old-style Ibanez "spaghetti" logo.

The rumors were true. After years of calls from the legions of Satriani faithful, Ibanez is offering a special collector's edition of virtuoso rock guitarist Joe Satriani's storied "Black Dog" electric guitar.
The Ibanez JS "Black Dog" Tribute is a faithful recreation of Joe Satriani's legendary late '80s/early '90s axe. Like Joe's actual Black Dog, the recreation features the original pot locations and output jack style different than the current Satriani signature modelas well as DiMarzio PAF Pro and Fred pickups and the original Ibanez Edge tremolo system. In addition the JS neck and finish on the Tribute are treated by Ibanez's most experienced luthiers.
