For sale is an original Veleno guitar, #135 out of 195 total production run. Veleno guitars were made in the 1970's by aerospace engineer, John Veleno, completely out of aluminum. The neck was made out of Almat35 aluminum, used for jet aircraft production. The first guitar he made was a personal player for himself, but he soon made another, and brought it to a T. Rex show in Tampa, where Marc Bolan immediately bought it and ordered 2 more. Subsequent purchasers of Veleno guitars included Eric Clapton, Gregg Allman (Greggs response on first seeing the Veleno was, Wow! A motorcycle in a guitar case!), Lou Reed, Johnny Winter, Ace Frehley, Todd Rundgren, Mark Farner, Jeff Lynne, Mick Mars, Robbie Krieger, Alvin Lee, Martin Barre, Jorge Santana, David Robinson of The Cars (see the Panorama album cover for a photo of his),Johnny Depp, Vincent Gallo, Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson, Lonesome Dave of Foghot, and many more. Veleno guitars have the highest percentage of celebrity bought and paid for owners, by far, of any guitar ever made. No guitars were given away. All were purchased by their owners. Veleno necks are guaranteed never to warp. Rather than list all the specs for these amazing instruments, go to www.veleno.net, www.guitarship.org/aluminum_guitars/?veleno, wikipedia, or Google Veleno guitars for more information on these extremely rare guitars.
John Veleno suffered a stroke shortly after he made guitar #195 and production ceased. They were out of production for years. Johns son recently started making them again. These re-issues sell for $10,000.
This guitar has tone and power like youve never heard. Theyre like Les Pauls on steroids, not to mention being the coolest looking axes on the planet, but due to the aluminum construction they can be made to sound like any guitar ever made. The red stone inlaid in the headstock is a corundum ruby. Email or call for more info. Space is limited for descriptions on this website.
