1966 Fender P-Bass Precision Refin
Purchased directly from the original owner. This one owner bass was purchased in Oneonta, NY in early '67. Originally 3 tone burst, then sanded down to its current condition. Serial number is 1612xx. Neck was professionally fretted and shows little to no wear. Pickguard shows some scuffing and shrinkage that you would expect from an original mid-60s pickguard. Truss rod has been replaced and is fully functional. Input jack has been replaced. Otherwise original including original bridge and pickup covers. Most of the cloth wiring remains as well (all but 2 wires?). Frets & Truss work performed by Craig Landau in Concord, NC, one of the most respected luthiers on the east coast. The bass plays beautifully, has a ton of output, and records like a monster. The neck shows some wear, but laquer is complete and no bare wood is exposed. Rosewood fretboard is in excellent condition, showing little to no wear. The headstock has the tint and checking you would expect from a 46 year old instrument. Hardshell case is very worn, but original.
