Tim Reede Custom Guitars The Phoenix electric guitar has a basswood body with a quilted maple drop top. The neck is laminated alder and maple with a bolt on design. The fingerboard is ebony with mother of pearl marking dots. Scale length is 24. 6.25". The tuning machines are made by Gotoh. The pickups are Lindy Fralin custom hand would P90s. The electronic controls feature a hum canceling center position and a phase reverse switch. With over wound bridge pickup, this is a dirty little rocker. The finish is a hand applied sunburst that resembles glowing embers, and the flame inlay on the head stock ties into the fire theme. This is how this guitar got the name of the mythical bird of fire.
