1958 Gibson Byrdland in rare natural finish with original PAF pickups & original rare Stone case.
Guitar plays & sounds phenomenal?and looks gorgeous. The serial number is A28492 on an oval orange label & the factory order number is T-4874-4.
The guitar shows finish checking and shows some playing wear. There is also a small repair to the top in the lower bout area near the tone control.
The back of the neck looks as though it might have been oversprayed to replace worn finish. We originally thought there might be some overspray on the headstock, but after closer examination the front & rear of the headstock show small finish checking in the original finish.
The low ?E? saddle has been replaced, the pickguard is a new, hand-made reproduction, and at some point the pickup covers were removed & replated. The pickups are original PAF?s.
The case is in fantastic shape ? all latches function perfectly & the fabric lid stays are in perfect condition.
